Today we’d like to introduce you to Luis Escarret
Luis , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hello my name is Luis and I am the Founder of RBA Fitness.
RBA was able to grow because of pure discipline. Starting a business is the equivalent of taking a test with no study guide, nothing promised, and feeling as if the world is against you. Besides standing in the ring; starting a business is a consistent reflection of mind shifts and mood swings and emotional discipline.
It was 2020 and I had just began my personal journey as a fitness influencer in my community. Thanks to a supplement brand I partnered with “1st Phorm” they were running a program to become affiliated with them. I followed everything they asked which at the time made me uncomfortable. I wasn’t use to talking on camera or posting on IG. however I knew I wanted a different life so I did what I had to do.
Then the pandemic hit. Every gym closed and dream ruined. The thought crossed my mind but I stayed discipline. I started making workout videos in my back yard and basement. Sure enough with enough time and post, those close to me asked if I would train them. At first this wasn’t my intention. However I ceased the day.
I still had a 9-5 so any free second I could afford I was training someone.
from 6am-8am and 5pm-10pm. I loved every second of it. I was watching something grow before my eyes. kind of like a plant sprouting or a puppy growing up.
I dedicated myself like never before. I ate slept and dreamt about RBA.
I did a lot of self improvement. Truth be told I am only here because of the work. I would do 5 daily task a day no matter what. It was a way to get better 1% everyday. I kid you not this is gold right here. If it wasn’t for the power list and daily reading and listing to podcast I would not be here.
Im talking a lot about the start because with out a certain mind set and pure dedication you will not see anything grow. I really had to let go of so many human comforts that I had.
fast forward to today I am on my 4 new location which is our biggest one yet.
we went from my parents backyard to a 4000 sq feet retail space that we call home now.
the daily challenges I face today laugh at my stress year 1 and 2.
I am eager to keep growing RBA with my business partner Raul.
slowly we are maturing in business more and more and can’t wait to keep reaching for our full potential.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I can name at least 50 points of struggle in the past 4 years.
Currently the hardest one is a learning curve we are being mentored in as of right now.
We are currently updating our business strategy and revenue stream as well as upgrading as many pieces of equipment as possible for the gym.
For your business to be successful you need great daily habits and a system for each part of the business.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As Owner and Operator I really enjoy when no one is there and I just get to clean. A super simple task that I can be very proud of.
My other one is self development. I truly enjoy the craft and being good at it.
Changing lives is our specialty.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The power list- 5 critical task a day
read 10 pages of a self development book
Listen to one self development podcast a day
