Today we’d like to introduce you to Lil Prince Charmin .
Hi Lil Prince , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started performing at the age of 4yrs old doing Mr. James Brown covers then moving on to the King of Pop Michael Jackson. At 6yrs old my mother started me a Facebook page called Paris Josef aka Baby Brown and once my page started picking up momentum I started getting booked for shows. At 9 yrs old I started writing my very own music. Then at 10yrs old I went to the studio and recorded my first single written and produced by me.
I have been performing all over the world hitting stages with a plethora of New Orleans local talent including Tucka King of Swing, Rockin Dopsie Jr, Dwayne Dopsie, Gina Brown, Casme, Shamarr Allen, Fresh & Reckless, Dee1music, Dwayne Dopsie, Hot Boy Ronald, Rob49, and T99zy. I have even performed as Mr Bootsy Collins’ special guest at the James Brown birthday Bash in Augusta, Ga.
Well now I’m 12 yrs old with 2 singles on the radio. I am an entertaining recording artist writing all and producing some of my very own music. I am also on a mission to be known as the positive vibe needed for our youth and bringing chivalry back.
I bring an experience that keeps you moving the entire show. One of my singles out now “I Like It When She Go (Bop) has actually made its way to Africa. My sound involves a whole lot of soul and great bit of Pop seasoned with spicy Nola Bounce. I’m bringing love and unity to the world through my positive music and dance. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No it hasn’t been all peaches and cream. 2 years ago my Facebook page got hacked. It took me almost 2yrs to retrieve it, but through God and mom I was able to get it back. I had to cross over to Instagram since I didn’t have access to my Facebook page. Man it was a struggle trying to figure out how to utilize that platform but I finally figured it out and now I have a decent following there as well. But it was pretty stressful not knowing if all my childhood memories would be deleted by the hackers or not.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an entertaining recording artist who writes all and produces some of my very own music. I am also the CEO of my company Another LPC Production where I get to produce, direct, write, edit, act, narrate, and create fun content. I am also known as the #princeofnola, the #princeofchivalry, and the #princeofhypothetical. I am most proud to be able to do what I love for a living and instead of working I get to have fun all day. I think being 12yrs old writing my own music, creating, editing, and producing my own content sets me apart from most kids my age. Also I sing, dance, rap, host, and produce music as well.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
If you achieve what you want to and are happy, then I think that is success. Also achieving personal and professional goals, having meaningful relationships, and making a positive impact on others and the world around you is also how I define success.
