Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Devon

Hi Brittany, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

I have always been a creative human. After my father passed when I was 15, I knew I wanted to commit to modeling and acting full time. I was signed in Chicago when I was 16 and have been acting ever since.

I started doing stand up comedy in 2016, and moved to Chicago in 2018. I began She Them Productions in 2021, making original content. I have had multiple films in film festivals winning international awards.

I currently am an actor, stand up comedian, improv teacher and writer. I am working on new projects with She Them.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

It has not been a smooth road, and I still do not feel I am where I desire to be. This path has always given me purpose, but it has been difficult. Besides losing my support system with both of my parents passing away, I feel being in the world of acting is facing daily rejection. It can be very difficult to feel valid as an artist when no one is choosing you, and it’s everything to believe in your own work and choose yourself.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

I am currently most known for my show, Platonic Girlfriend, and as a stand up comedian. I also really enjoy being an improv teacher and helping adults reclaim their inner children. My drive and vision, as well as my business mind sets me apart from others. I would say I am most proud of building a brand and of the content I am writing.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?

Simple things make me the happiest, it really is the little things. I love being able to be on set and have the entire production cast and crew be queer or female identifying.
I love being in nature, and connecting with my animals. Slowing down is everything.
