Hi Boss Tootie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I got my start by watching my dad record songs in our home studio and wanted to follow in his footsteps. One day at the age of seven, I approached him about recording songs of my own and he agreed.
It was a dream come true. I am now 11 years old and have release 15 singles and completed 9 music videos. I have had the opportunity to perform in front of hundreds of people around California. I am From Sacramento also known as the 27916! I get booked a lot to perform and am looking forward to taking my show on the road and places beyond California.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have faced some obstacles, but I am grateful to have a father who has been in the industry and who has been able to prvide a blueprint for me as I go. It also helps that I have a team of professionals to assist with my musical career. My team and I have noticed that more kidsare releasing music. It is making the kids genre more competitive, but also putting the light on me and other kids too! I love it!!!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a hip hop artist that creates kids music that your entire family can listen to. I have been told, that my lyrics are great and have a competitive edge. My beat choices are top notch and my overall sound quality is unmatched.
What sets me apart from others is my appearance; I am told that I look like your average little girl. I think my talent and musical abilities make me stand out.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I have so many. Being able to spend my tenth birth day at Disneyland with my dad. We had so much fun!!! Being to rock stages like Juneteenth and The Sacramento Hmong New Year.
The skate party for my 11th birthday where I had so much fun with all my friends!
