In my early twenties, I had a pivotal moment while working at Fendi’s fur salon on 5th Ave in New York City. Despite my love for fashion, I always grappled with the ethics of working with real fur. However, one season, Fendi unveiled a stunning faux fur coat that captivated me with its elegance and innovation, akin to a glimpse into the future. This sparked a thought: if we could replicate the luxurious look and feel of fur without harming animals, why not revolutionize the industry?
After thorough market research across the US and Europe, I discovered a significant gap in the luxury faux fur market—a void I was determined to fill. It took nearly two decades for technology to catch up to my vision, but during my tenure as a Personal Shopper at Prada on Madison Avenue, I realized the immense potential to create a brand that not only offered exquisite luxury but also championed animal welfare and environmental sustainability.
Thus, Pelush was born—a testament to my unwavering commitment to ethical fashion and environmental stewardship. Our mission is clear: to lead the ReFAUXlution in luxury faux fur, offering discerning consumers a guilt-free alternative while preserving the beauty of nature.
