Hi Angelique , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Our Story: AngieBWinn, LLC & BA Creative Media Agency
AngieBWinn, LLC nearly five years ago on November 17th, we started with a simple blog that served as my personal outlet. What began as a creative escape has evolved into a powerful platform, allowing me to mentor, coach, and service numerous prominent women and businesses in the Hampton Roads area.
AngieBWinn, LLC specializes in crafting unique branding, lifestyle, and event visuals that help our clients stand out and connect with their audiences. Over the years, our focus on these areas has enabled us to build a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, tailored solutions that make a meaningful impact.
In tandem with AngieBWinn, LLC, Our journey began with a shared vision between my husband and me, driven by our passion for creating compelling visuals for small businesses and entrepreneurs.we launched BA Creative Media Agency to expand our reach and explore new creative avenues. BA Creative Media Agency enhances our ability to provide innovative branding and visual solutions, offering comprehensive services that cater to diverse needs within the small business and entrepreneurial community.
Throughout our journey, we’ve navigated various challenges, including challenges of stepping out on faith to leave my job and trusting God to provide as I pursued my passion. Overcoming self-doubt, establishing a consistent clientele, and learning to get out of my own way have been pivotal hurdles that shaped my journey, but our commitment to excellence and creativity has been unwavering. The synergy between us as co-founders has been instrumental in driving our success, allowing us to blend our skills and passions seamlessly.
As we celebrate the upcoming milestone of AngieBWinn, LLC’s fifth anniversary, we are excited about the future and the continued opportunities to support and elevate our clients. Thank you for being a part of our story and journey!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. Like any entrepreneurial journey, we’ve faced our share of challenges.
Starting AngieBWinn, LLC as a blog was a creative outlet, but transforming it into a full-fledged business was no easy feat. One of the biggest struggles was figuring out how to turn a personal passion into a sustainable enterprise while juggling the demands of growing a brand. We had to learn on the fly about business management, client expectations, and how to stand out in a crowded market.
Launching BA Creative Media Agency brought its own set of challenges. Expanding into new areas meant we had to rapidly adapt and innovate, which sometimes felt overwhelming. We encountered hurdles like navigating market competition and managing our workload effectively. Balancing our personal lives with the demands of running two businesses was also a significant challenge.
Despite these struggles, each obstacle has been a learning opportunity. They’ve taught us resilience, flexibility, and the importance of staying true to our vision. Every challenge has contributed to our growth and success, and we wouldn’t be where we are today without overcoming these hurdles.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?

With AngieBWinn, LLC, which started as a blog and has grown into a robust platform, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring and coaching many prominent women and businesses in the Hampton Roads area. If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I didn’t always follow the traditional path. I went to college because my mother encouraged me to, but I didn’t fully commit to what I was doing at the time. Initially, I was pursuing Music Media, but after having my first son, I reassessed my direction. I decided to switch to Mass Communications, a field that allowed me to complete my studies more quickly. It was during this shift that I discovered my true passion for Communications.
My journey didn’t stop there. Through a series of challenging yet transformative experiences, I pursued a Master’s in Strategic Communications, a path that truly resonated with me. Today, I’m proud to be a part-time college professor at my local college, sharing my knowledge and passion with the next generation. Each step, from my initial studies to my current role, has been guided by a deeper sense of purpose and has shaped my professional journey.
During that time, I dabbled in various creative pursuits. I made jewelry, hosted events, and explored different avenues to express myself and provide for my family. One standout moment was in 2010 when I embraced my natural hair a choice that was still relatively new and uncommon back then. This experience inspired me to create events that brought women together to celebrate and embrace their natural beauty. Many of those women are still part of my life today, and they’ve been instrumental in shaping my path as a full-time entrepreneur.
Looking back, those early experiences and the challenges I faced have all contributed to where I am now. They’ve taught me resilience, creativity, and the importance of staying true to myself.
