Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssa Ebba
Hi Alyssa, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Alyssa and I am the owner and founder of Ebbalasting Photography as well as Ebbalasting Creations. I started with Ebbalasting Photography in 2018 (formerly known as aGasparPhotos) after getting out of the military. I have always had a passion for photography growing up and with all the time I now had I thought it was the perfect timing. Ebbalasting Creations in my new baby. Started in 2024, after the purchase of my Cricut machine. I started by making things to give as gifts and then slowly progressed into Etsy, vendor fairs and hopefully, I can open my online store soon. I recently moved to Texas, so I am a bit backed up on production so Stay Tuned guys!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road for me, and to be frank I’m sure everyone has their share of obstacles in their respective journeys but I overcame and conquered! A recent struggle for me was losing my fur baby Ace who I have had since getting out of the military. At a young age of 5 Ace left us with deep sadness. It put me in a bad state of mind in which I felt the need to start fresh and move forward and this led me to Texas.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in visual arts (Ebbalasting Photography) as well as creating custom handmade items (Ebbalasting Creations). I am very proud of the fact that in a 4 year span I was able to broaden my horizons and start a second business. Especially one that is more versatile and year round friendly.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My advice for finding a mentor is DON’T take advice from people who are NOT where you want to be. Listen to those who ARE where you want to be. You can all aspire to be something or be anywhere in life but they are not the ones to tell you how to get there. The people that ARE there are more likely to give you proper guidance.
Learning about successful creators has worked well for me. Let’s admit it, we all watch videos on social media. I like to find content I can relate with and use that as guidance. I use it as, for lack of better terms, a template” if you will. Since we both share the same niche it is easy to make something out of their content and make it my own.
