I think success is defined differently by various people. Others view on success may be completely opposite on what yours and my view on success is. I believe success only comes by persevering despite failure. Kind of how I’ve lived a majority of my life by trial and error. In life we walk down the path we choose for ourselves. Along that path there will be road blocks and obstacles in our way to prolong progress. Read more>>

I feel like success is such a relative concept — not just in the sense that it is different things to different people, but also that it means very different things at different points in your life. I love when the definition evolves, because it means you have evolved. Lately for me, feeling successful comes from experiences that give me a sense of expansion. That make me feel like I’m creatively fulfilled and “in flow”. I have realized it comes from being able to work on projects you really care about in spaces where you’re able to use your voice and still have room to be wrong and grow. Read more>>

This is one of my favorite questions! Not long after starting Hala Sweets I found myself frequently questioning which direction I wanted the business to go in. There are so many opportunities that come along and options to offer in this creative field it’s hard to say no. After taking a pause to reflect on Hala Sweets I realized that to be successful can mean anything I want it to mean. My definition will be different than the next baker and business owner. It takes meaningful relationships in the community among peers, photography is more than pressing a button! How you treat others in front and behind the camera makes all the difference in the world. When other photographers can’t an assignment due to time, or availability their friends & those that have made a meaningful relationship usually gets the first call at it. From past experiences, I believe that to create a successful business, there has to be a burning passion & desire to succeed and believe in what you do. It takes a certain type of individual to create a business model and see it through and stick with it through thick and thin. Owning a business is not for everyone and it will test all aspects of your life. You have to have passion, drive, be prepared for endless sleepless nights and be able to rise above when the going gets tough. Read more>>

Let ideas come to you! My motto: “Never settle for less than your own dreams” I believe, this is the guarantee for every success. My conclusion: the most important prerequisites for success and thus personal satisfaction are:
passion, commitment, patience, authenticity, honesty, care, empathy. “Take care of your customers, success will come naturally”. I like to share my satisfaction and give something back of my luck. Because stones, decoration, fantasy and furnishing are art for me, I set up a free Artist Forum on my homepage. Read more>>

To be successful it takes being unapologetically yourself, not allowing anyone to define what your business or brand should be and making tough decisions. All these are forms of knowing your boundaries and being okay with feeling uncomfortable. To be successful you have to have a clear understanding of what being successful means to you. I believe the first question you have to ask yourself is what success means to you. We have to remember life is not all about the numbers. Does success mean making six figures or does it mean solving problems for your clients? I believe the key to finding success and feeling good about your level of success is to do something you are truly passionate about. Do the thing that you love doing. The thing you think about without any effort. Read more>>

One of our mottos here is “Just Keep Doing The Work”. This is a principle we feel most successful people have in mind once they are on their way to the top. Small wins help push to the big wins and the big wins are to be celebrated but the only way to get there is to keep doing the work. Giving up never got anybody anywhere but a head start towards something else. Remember that. Read more>>

Perseverance and mindset are the two biggest attributes to success, in my experience. Most people go through peaks and valleys, and it’s important to remember that the journey doesn’t have a destination. Success is not a place that you get to. It’s a road you travel. And even when you’re standing on a peak, there’s a pretty good chance the next valley is right in front of you. Read more>>

I’ve thought about this question quite a bit throughout my career and my life. I’ve learned that success can be measured in different ways. In my career it can be number of books sold, new readers, book reviews and social media followers. I believe that anyone who is striving for success needs to have the drive and tenacity to not give up. When something doesn’t go your way, that doesn’t necessarily mean it wasn’t meant to be. When you’re striving for success, you will fail sometimes. There’s no way it will be easy all the time and everything will always fall right into place. It takes hard work and determination, and there will be some rejection and failures along the way. Read more>>

Being successful means you have to get comfortable with not always winning. You have to know what losing feels like. So you can be grounded. The first step in the pursuit of success is understanding that your journey will not be the same as someone else. Many times, we set ourselves up to lose the fight before we get into the ring because our focus is blurred with a vision, passion, and desire that aren’t our own. You must understand that in order for others to see you, in an already over saturated market or field, is for you to be uniquely you. Other than that, I would have to say that knowing your “Why”, having faith, and a strong support system will be what you need to be successful. Read more>>

To be successful can vary person-to-person, but in almost all situations of sucess, there is a pivotal point in the process where the person must accept failure. Defining success is a challenge for so many writers, and it’s something I struggle with myself. Is the marker of success an exceedingly long client manual that you knocked out of the park? Is it a few thousand published articles? Is it the first novel you finish, or the first dollar you make? Truth be told, I think success looks different to every individual. I think defining success should be a personal mission, and whatever standard we decide to set should be something we each individually strive to meet. Read more>>
