Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendy Yereni

Hi Wendy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?

I started my adult career in mentorship and marketing in Silicon Valley. My career ranged from non-profit sectors to corporate companies. Then came 2020 and the year the world shut down. My husband and I were newlyweds at the time and were now at home together 100% of the time so, naturally, our household habits came up more. In our bickering and discussions of putting things away and keeping things tidy, I found it harder and harder to explain to my husband our environment matters and impacts our daily lives. A week had gone by and I noticed that my husband had been putting things away. I thanked him and told him I had noticed a change and I asked him what was the final impact, and he said, “I came across an article talking about feng shui and how it can improve your daily life.” I was stunned! THIS I COULD GET BEHIND!

What you also don’t know is that this was about the 5th time feng shui had come up in my life. I took a deep dive into feng shui and never came out. I had a relentless curiosity for feng shui. I started doing small feng shui 101 courses on my own just to enlighten people on the importance of our spaces. I did this for fun as a hobby. My husband would chuckle and say “you know you are going to turn this into a business one day, right?” I consistently shut it down. It was just for fun, it was my hobby. I loved my career in marketing and there was no way I would leave it. Never say never!

In various synchronicities in that year we managed to fly across the world while I was 13 weeks pregnant and still in a partial pandemic so that I could get a full certification in feng shui. It was wild, it was crazy, and we managed to do it! I became fully certified and started to consult on the side while I still worked full-time. From there I continued to grow and fell in love with having my own business and purpose.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

Definitely not! Having anything passionately takes a level of grit. When my son was born, I had 4 months of maternity leave from my marketing job. In the last 2-weeks of maternity leave before returning to work, I got the call from my boss that the company had merged and our entire marketing team, including myself, was being let go. My husband had recently switched careers from earning an annual salary to now being in a 100% sales job. We were going to get by on my Silicon Valley income while his grew. That safety net was now gone. Tears in my eyes and terrified, I looked at my husband and he said “we are going to be just fine and we will never be in another perfect situation for you to completely step into feng shui as a business.” I have never looked back since. We lived with my parents, I moved forward with building a business, pursued and received certifications in coaching to further support my clients, did JV partnerships, taught more courses, and gained more clients. I had to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

I often say “show me the walls of your home and I’ll tell you how life is going. I’m a Feng Shui Master and Mindset Coach. I founded Alma Life with the mission to awaken and inspire people to heal, thrive, and live intentionally, starting with their two sacred spaces—home and the soul. I believe that the world would be an entirely different space if everyone walked into the space they call home and could feel its love and warm embrace while healing the most important home, our souls.

When your home and soul are healed and in alignment, you thrive in ways you never thought possible. I help you overcome the limiting decisions you’ve been telling yourself for years and help you create an environment that helps you manifest your dreams through the depths of your unconscious mind.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?

It’s been incredible to watch the world awaken more to how the holistic and mindset industry truly transforms the way of living. In the next 5-10 years I see a world that has transformed its way of thinking, living, and doing business. Moving from an “I” stance to a “we” stance all because we understand the magic and impact of this work.
