Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiesha Bryant
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Tiesha’s story is one of resilience, determination, and triumph against the odds. She is a native of Pittsview, AL.
At the tender age of 13, Tiesha found herself facing the daunting reality of being a teen mom. The challenges were immense, but Tiesha was determined to provide a better future for her child. Despite the difficulties, she managed to balance her responsibilities as a young mother with her academic pursuits.
Tiesha attended Russell County High School, where she worked tirelessly to keep up with her studies. Her dedication and hard work paid off when she graduated with honors in 2009. This milestone was a testament to her perseverance and commitment to her education.
With her high school diploma in hand, Tiesha set her sights on higher education. She enrolled at Florida A&M University (FAMU), driven by a passion to make a difference in the lives of others. In 2014, she graduated with a degree in social work. Her journey didn’t stop there; Tiesha wanted to further her education and enhance her skills to better serve her community.
Tiesha continued her academic journey at Troy University, where she pursued a master’s degree. In 2016, she proudly graduated with her master’s in social work. This achievement was a crowning moment in her journey, reflecting her unwavering dedication to her goals.
In 2014, Tiesha founded We Have a Purpose, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing intervention and prevention services to at-risk youth and their families. Through this organization, Tiesha has been able to make a significant impact, offering support and resources to those who need it most.
But Tiesha’s journey wasn’t just about education and nonprofit work. She channeled her experiences and wisdom into writing, becoming the author of two impactful books: *Imperfectly Perfect: Three Steps on the Parenthood Journey* and *Resilience Over Regret: A Journey of Teen Pregnancy, Faith, Love, and Family*. These works resonate with many, offering guidance and inspiration drawn from her own life.
In addition to her writing, Tiesha founded Resilient Family Wellness Coaching and Consulting, where she specializes in parenting healing and helping individuals cope with emotional distress, particularly from being in a car accident. Her signature parenting program, “F Dem Kids,” focuses on the principles of foundation, freedom, and focus, providing a structured yet compassionate approach to parenting.
Every year in March, Tiesha hosts Tiesha’s Bounce Back Convention, where women from all over come together to be empowered, inspired, and poured into. This event has become a beacon of hope and encouragement for many women seeking to reclaim their strength and purpose.
Looking ahead, Tiesha is working on her first F Dem Kids retreat, set to launch in the summer of 2025. This retreat aims to provide parents with the tools and support they need to build a strong foundation for their families.
Tiesha is also a loving wife, having found a supportive partner who shares her values and dreams. Together, they have watched their daughter grow into a beautiful young woman who has graduated from high school and college and is continuing her education.
At 33, Tiesha is an empty nester, CEO, wife, author, and international speaker. Most importantly, she considers herself God’s favorite resilient daughter, finding strength and purpose in her faith.
Tiesha’s story is a powerful testament to the strength of the human spirit. From teen mom to a successful professional, her journey continues to inspire and uplift those around her. Her resilience, faith, and love have not only shaped her own life but have also touched the lives of many others.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road hasn’t always been easy for Tiesha. She experienced teen pregnancy at 13 and was dismissed from college, but she still managed to finish her education. It was delayed, not denied. During her last semester of earning her master’s degree, she faced the possibility of expulsion due to a lie, but God’s hand guided her through. Blending a family was challenging, especially coming from two different backgrounds, but with God’s help, we’ve made it this far.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
RFW offers two signature programs:
1. **Coaching After the Crash**: This program provides therapeutic coaching for individuals experiencing emotional distress after being involved in a non-fault car accident. Referrals come from personal injury attorneys and word of mouth.
2. **F Dem Kids**: This parenting program takes a therapeutic approach. It helps parents build a solid foundation, allowing them to free themselves from past hurt and baggage that might otherwise be passed onto their children. By focusing on their own healing, parents can show up as the imperfectly perfect individuals they are, simultaneously supporting their children’s growth. This program is based on the book “Imperfectly Perfect: Three Steps on the Parenthood Journey” and has led us to travel to different schools and programs to host workshops and seminars.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I really enjoy alone time.
