Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Cucuzzella.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always loved the gym, but at 16, I never saw it as a career. My brother-in-law did. He saw my passion, believed in me, and that meant everything at such a young, vulnerable age. His brother was a trainer, which inspired me to get certified and start coaching. That push changed my life—leading me to New York, building a community, and launching Aussie FIT. Now, I get to do for others what he did for me: believe in them before they believe in themselves.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Smooth? Not exactly—but that’s what makes it worth it. I always thought I needed a steady 9-to-5 while doing fitness on the side, but I soon realized I had to go all in. Sure, there were struggles along the way—long hours and the challenge of building something from scratch. But I’m a hard worker, and I’m used to the grind. I bet on myself, followed my passion, and never looked back. Now, I’m thriving in one of the most competitive cities in the world. People say it’s competitive, but there’s someone for everyone—and I’m right where I need to be.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Aussie FIT, it’s a one-woman show dedicated to transforming the way fitness works for committed clients. I left a 9-to-5 to fully embrace my passion for fitness, and now I offer personalized training and small group sessions that cater to your goals. I choose quality over quantity—working exclusively with clients who are truly invested in their journey. I’m proud of the genuine community I’ve built, where every session is a chance to connect, grow, and push the limits together.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I’ve never been afraid to take risks. I quit every desk job I had within six months, no backup plan, because I believe in betting on myself. I stayed in NYC through the pandemic, when everyone else was fleeing, because I knew the hustle never stops here. Risk is just part of the game for me—stepping out of my comfort zone pushes me to places I never thought possible. It’s not about being reckless; it’s about owning the uncertainty and making it work for you. What’s the worst that can happen?
