Today we’d like to introduce you to Samie White.
Hi Samie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Let’s dig into my spiritual journey and self-discovery. It all began in childhood; I grew up in an open minded household. My mom was raised Catholic and dad was raised Christian. We attended a Christian church when I was very young, and stopped around age 4-5. I grew up in an old house with sensitive family members. We experienced spirits and extraordinary happenings. My most memorable spiritual experience was created when I thought to myself “what if we are not really here in this form.” I had this transcendent out of body experience and went crying to my mom. She’d told me not to think of it anymore, yet I found myself provoking the thought and enjoying the experience.
As a teenager, I was seeking a major in college relative to these innate magical qualities. I found Psychology, which came very naturally to me. During school, I studied stress-reduction, behavioral neuroscience, yoga, and much more. I met a reiki practitioner at age 19 who showed me the endless possibilities and miracles we are all capable of. I’d practiced yoga since my pre-teen years and had this intuitive approach to personal wellness. I carried these unique qualities into the workforce, working with Healthy Families then in clinical research. I had a continuous interest in energy medicine and used some reiki techniques I’d learned years before in day-to-day life. I sought out schools for reiki, but nothing seemed like the right fit. I continued living, married and planning a family, little did I know a shift was underway.
The current leg of my journey began in 2022 as I was nearing the end of the decade of my 20’s. It had become a year of endings and beginnings. I made the difficult decision to file for divorce after nearly 5 years married and 10 years in partnership. Many life changes led to this decision, most importantly was my personal wellness.
I’d always been engaged in preventative care, staying active, and taking care of myself. A good friend pointed out that I was not myself in 2022. I reflected and saw this depressed person throwing herself into fixing her husband’s issues while ignoring her body calling out in panic attacks and pain of unknown etiology. I smiled on the outside while everything bubbled up from within. I’d stopped embracing my spirituality and innate qualities. This wake-up call was all I needed to take action and make positive changes in my life. I admit it was challenging, but now I see the fruits of my labor and it’s glorious.
In June of 2022, I began working with a therapist and using an online program called To Be Magnetic which includes guided self-hypnosis, EMDR, journaling, and more. With this new approach to myself, I noticed how out of frequency I was with my inner vibration. I was back to my usual healthy self, eating well, working out regularly, and on a stable sleep schedule. Old hobbies began to surface. I was studying energy medicine, reading, painting, wearing stylish outfits, and going on adventures.
I still allowed a lot of external influence on my decisions and unhealthy coping mechanisms, but I had awareness of them. I opened myself up to the dating experience and met an incredible being who led me to Meditation on Twin Hearts and Pranic Healing. I learned different types of meditation over the years, including mindfulness and walking meditations but they did not impact me like Meditation on Twin Hearts. Shockingly, I started on a spiritual journey that had started years before.
I started practicing Meditation on Twin Hearts a few times a week in September of 2022. It helped me to regulate my emotions, reduce stress, and build trust in a higher power that I’d always held in my heart. The panic attacks had stopped and symptoms of depression and anxiety were more intermittent. I was drinking nearly daily when I started this practice, after only a few weeks I slowed down significantly. I started replacing my “nightly” drink with a meditation.
Before I knew it, I was only drinking once in a while and at social occasions. Spring rolled around and I was nudged to take a course in Pranic Healing. I was already sensitive since childhood and a believer in miracles of life. I felt like I was coming home when I took this course. The skills I gained helped me to heal myself, friends, and family. Blending the meditation with energy work resulted in clarity of mind and thoughtful decisions. I hold immense gratitude to the modern day founder of Pranic Healing, Master Choa Kok Sui; his persistent work guided me to this rebirth of my life.
I jumped into more training after the first course. I had many life altering experiences along the way. Meditation and spiritual practice forces you to face what you’ve hidden from yourself with confidence and vigor. I’m more confident to be myself and speak my truth. Relationships have improved, and I’ve met many incredible beings. Life is fun again and I look forward to each day. My perspective on work changed when I found passion in presence.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In Arhatic practice, we study Jnana yoga or the practice of knowledge and understanding. The book “The Origin of Modern Pranic Healing “ lists the 5 pillars of Arhatic yoga. These pillars are: Reverence, purifications, meditations, study, tithing and service. A part of purification is inner reflection on virtues or character building. In this practice, we must face the truth within ourselves; this has been one of the most challenging aspects of my journey.
When I took the time to reflect and be honest with myself I saw what I hid underneath the surface. Let’s face it we aren’t perfect and the shadow parts are dark for a reason. I’ve learned to face those shadow parts for what they are, accept them, and make real changes in my thought and behavior patterns to overcome them. Being honest with oneself is very challenging; I’d always preferred to see the world through rose-colored glasses. Facing facts has allowed me to make realistic choices for my future that truly support my growth. Continual work on these areas may be lifelong, it is so worthwhile to have this awareness and regulation.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I teach Vinyasa and prenatal yoga, provide pranic healing services to clients, and combine the two in workshop experiences. I’ve worked with companies to teach employees stretches and wellness routines for the workplace. I recently began guiding others in Meditation on Twin hearts. I’m working on an online platform to provide my services on demand. I dream of co-creating a retreat space for integrative healing, wellness, education, and meditative practice. I’ve been told I have a grounding and calming presence. I always take extra time to provide self-care before instructing to ensure I’m bringing a clear presence to the environment.
I specialize in self-care, stress reduction, and wellness routines. I have a history of working in early childhood development and clinical research. I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with personal interest in personality, childhood development, and behavioral neuroscience. I’ve worked with many clients over the years nurturing relationships and communication, and enhancing wellness routines and overall well-being. I’ve recently rediscovered my passion for singing and found that it creates a unique experience, meditative state, and healing. I’m thrilled to share my strengths and help others to thrive.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
My industry is unique and I see it growing exponentially in the coming 5-10 years. There are countless opportunities to integrate pranic healing into wellness and everyday life. Every prana informed professional I meet has a unique niche, yet has training in all aspects of Pranic Healing. The processes are simple yet effective. As more people learn and practice the techniques, we will see a shift in humanity. Practicing Meditation on Twin Hearts cultivates kindness, compassion, and healing throughout the world. Arhatic yoga techniques guide individuals to living a wholesome, fulfilling life. I’d recommend that anyone try an intro level course or attend a meditation. These practices can improve your life even if you choose to meditate once in a while. The greatest part is Pranic Healing is an integrative wellness option; the modern day founder, Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, made it clear that it is not to replace proper medical treatment, rather to supplement it. If you already have a spiritual practice consider supplementing it with Pranic Healing, who knows what keys you might find to open new doors in your life.
