Queen, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hi. First let me say thank you for this opportunity. Let me introduce myself to your audience. My name is Morshica Bouldin AKA Queen Muhammad; Founder and CEO of Music & Artist Management Company Madd Pop Records, out of the Philadelphia area. A little about myself, I’m a non-binary Black woman. By my own personal preference, I have no issue still being addressed as a woman because as hard as we deny them, aesthetics are what people see first. So since I haven’t changed any aspect of myself physically, I don’t get offended or feel misclassified from what people don’t know or assume, but that’s just me.

And for people unsure of what non-binary is, in the simplest way I can explain, by my definition, it’s someone who does not identify as a man or a woman. Someone who might feel like a mix of genders, or like they have no gender at all. And if your audience wants to learn more about that, definitely seek an expert in that field. Today, we want to catch you up on what’s new with Madd Pop Records. The most sought after record label on the planet!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I founded Madd Pop Records in 2017 and NO it has not been smooth especially surviving a pandemic shut the country down in 2020. But other than unforeseen government shutdowns, no record label has had a smooth road so welcome the good with the bad. We’ve had label splits, multiple clients, admin changes, sadly like most Record Labels and/or Black owned businesses, harassment from officials, Now in 2024, there are no regrets and we just getting started.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Madd Pop Records?
We have a few services. Our main service is Artist Development and Management. We have clients all over the world and of walks of life. Also we write and produce music. We specialize in a unique sound called “Futuristic Soul”. Every producer has a sound and that’s our sound.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
