Today we’d like to introduce you to P. Falasha Harrison.
P. Falasha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Born in Boston, raised in Jamaica, traveled to Boston from Jamaica every summer, privileged to be raised in my foundational years by both my paternal grandparents and maternal grandmother who had what resembled joint custody,
I had two children by age 18. I have had the best money could buy and I have lost everything could buy. I have survived abusive familial and romantic relationships. Homelessness and everything in between. I never gave up. I did not have that option at least it never felt like it was an option for me. By age 30 I have 3 children. Today I look back and I am surprised that I am still who I am. It takes a lot of grit, and thick skin, to withstand sleepless nights, sacrifices and heartbreak and still not be tainted by these experiences and hold on to your Faith in God. but what is the alternative. Today I have a Specialized Certification in Leadership and Management from Harvard Business School. I worked with hundreds of small Black owned businesses in Massachusetts to increase their revenue as well as acquire grants, I have worked with organizations where I have overseen million dollar budgets and developed and implemented key programs that are still instrumental to the success of several small businesses.
I always had and still have a strong belief in God. I do not believe in failure. I know that life is what you make it. And I am currently running Women’s Ministry, a Radio Broadcast called “Faith Beyond Boundaries. And I recently launched a Corporate Training and Leadership Development Firm, specializing in tailored corporate training initiatives, focusing on customer engagement strategies, team-building and development, and strategic leadership development solutions to enhance contact center performance and employee engagement.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being a young mother with very little support. Abusive relationships. Homelessness. Heartbreak. Betrayal.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Tell us more about your business or organization. The Nonprofit Agency is a corporate-focused organization dedicated to providing high-impact solutions in capacity building, organizational development, team building, and program development for nonprofit organizations. Our core mission is to empower nonprofits that serve underrepresented and marginalized communities, ensuring they have the tools, strategies, and frameworks necessary for sustainable growth and operational excellence.
What should we know? What do you do, what do you specialize in / what are you known for? I’m most known for my straightforward, no-nonsense approach that is entirely results-focused. I naturally bring a results-oriented mindset to everything I do. As the founder of both Her Legacy and The Nonprofit Agency, I empower organizations and individuals to grow, thrive, and excel. The Nonprofit Agency focuses on corporate and nonprofit development, team building, and strategic leadership, while Her Legacy is my heartfelt initiative that creates transformative experiences for women to embrace their identity and leadership.
What are you most proud of brand-wise? I am most proud of Her Legacy and how it seamlessly intertwines with what I do in my day-to-day work. In my professional role, I empower organizations, especially in the contact center and customer service fields—a predominantly female industry. This means that whether I’m in a corporate setting or nurturing personal projects like Her Legacy, I’m continuously doing what’s most dear to me: fostering growth, leadership, and empowerment for women.
What do you want our readers to know about your brand, offerings, services, etc.? I want readers to know that it doesn’t have to be one or the other; it can be all of the above. The holistic approach I take with Her Legacy and The Nonprofit Agency proves that you can blend professional development with personal growth, strategic empowerment, and community building. You just need to hire me to put the strategy together and execute it for you. Whether it’s corporate training, team development, leadership workshops, or creating safe, celebratory spaces for women through Her Legacy, I provide solutions that lead to real, lasting impact.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck has not played any role in my life or business. Faith, God, and my tenacity are what have shaped my journey. I firmly believe that everything I have achieved has been through divine purpose, dedication, and the resilience instilled in me. I am relentless; I do not quit or give up. There are moments when I feel tired, frustrated, or question why I’m doing this, but giving up is never an option. As long as God continues to give me the drive, desire, and purpose, I will keep moving forward and pushing toward what I am called to do.
