Today we’d like to introduce you to Markecha Love

Hi Markecha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?

I started off as an ambitious29 year old woman, a single mom to two boys, with a head full of dreams of changing the world with the lack of truly loving myself or knowing who I was. I remember being in a daunting season of my life where everything I felt like I had worked so hard to obtain was starting to slip away at my finger tips. I remember being intentional to where I was during that time because I realized I was losing who I had been all these years and I had two boys looking up to me to finish. I decided to first seek therapy, but not only that I started to truly seek God in helping me heal the little girl that was still inside of that single mother of two. The journey was not easy, but it truly was worth it. After discovering who I was healthy and where I wanted to be and do, I also discovered my PURPOSE and what I enjoyed doing. HELPING. As I grew and did the work I soon became the CEO of my own business. She Chose Her, an organization founded and created for women to help consult them through life coaching practices, one on one sessions, and Biblical truth in discovering who they are mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I became a wife to my amazing husband Mitchell Love and my old life as I knew it had changed for the better. Now I was finally helping other women and young women do the same for themselves as a healed woman ready to save the world.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

The world is never smooth when you truly walking out this life, especially when you are choosing to walk in it as a believer in Christ. There were seasons I lacked financially, and I didn’t always have it to take care of myself or my boys, but there always ended up being a ram in the bush. There was a season where I was being processed and stretched so far that I lost friendships, relationships, and partnerships. There was a seasons where I felt like I was being purged so much that I was isolated and hidden, but as I continue to grow I learned that all things lost would be replaced with greater and better. I learned that the struggles are needed to grow me in wisdom, understanding, patience, discipline, and discernment. I discovered that if you don’t go through tough seasons how can you expect to be built into a strong person. Even though the road was not always easy I wouldn’t change the path because it BUILT me. It made me appreciate who I was and who I’ve grown to be.

Markecha Love is a faithful woman of God, devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Born and raised in Birmingham Alabama. SHE has experienced the internal struggle associated with self love and forgiveness. Born out of the many trials and trauma she has overcome is a deep appreciation and understanding of the importance of self love. Having dealt with relationship grief, guilt, being a single mother for 10 years and losing her sister to cancer, Markecha was intentional with choosing to forgive herself and allow healing to take place.

Understanding that women of all ages are more prone to negative emotion such as Anger, Emptiness, Frustration, Inadequacy, Helplessness, Fear, Guilt, Loneliness, Depression, Feeling Overwhelmed, Resentment, Failure, Sadness and Jealousy, Markecha recognized a need for women to have a community where they can be transparent regarding those vulnerabilities and sought out to meet that need.

Mission: SHE has accepted the mission of equipping Women of all walks of life with the tools to foster a mindset that conquers the plague of negative emotions women find themselves most susceptible to. Through discussion and practical application (of truth), SHE walks hand in hand with her sisters on the journey to THEIR BEST SELF!

Vision: SHE’s vision is to offer a safe place for women to navigate and overcome the polarizing issues, trauma and emotions that are often stifled in favor of being everything to everyone else, prioritizing Self-Love and acts of service as a means of healing and personal development.

Sodality: SHE focus is to build and create an environment that encourages , motivates, and inspire women to dream, grow, and push each other to be the best version of themselves.

Helping Hands: SHE is committed to aligning the truth of God’s word with our everyday life, so that we may mirror our God and his image on earth.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?

When I think of all the flowers to give so many people come to mind. My God first for keeping me and guiding me. My husband for always being my number one support and biggest fan. My spiritual leader Apostle Stephen A. Davis for being such a powerful encouragement and inspiration and man of God. His wife Darlene Davis for showing me how to be a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. To my parents who raised me to never give up Chaunty Coleman and Marcus Coleman. To my mentor who constantly shows me the way in my speaking career and life coaching journey Timothy Alexander. My amazing family and friends.
