Today we’d like to introduce you to Liliana Maria
Liliana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have always been called to help people and make a difference in the lives of others. Its a beautiful gift. However, at the onset of my Bold Journey, I was immature. Having this gift was like the gift of a beautiful paint set in the hands of a two-year-old. The only thing that could come out of the valuable gift was a mess.
I grew up sheltered and never knew what a precarious place the world could be. In 2009, I set out to build what I thought would be a dynamic project for youth phasing out of Foster Care. I met some unfavorable Characters on Craigslist who promised to fund the whole thing. It seemed like an answered prayer. What it was instead was the beginning of a 15-year nightmare.
They stated that I needed skin in the game and had me solicit from smaller investors. When it came time to pay and build there was nothing at the end of their rainbow. I was afraid and embarrassed to admit I had been duped. So, I kept going along with them burying myself deeper into the mirey clay.
I ended up losing my family home, life savings, and my freedom.
While in that dark place. I met many incredible women who had made their own poor choices but yet they were good people. I realized that not everyone behind bars is a career criminal, or bad, or a thief. Sometimes people, like myself, are just broken.
while there, a group of us vowed to come home and design a program that would help women such as us. This is how it all began.
It has been hard because so many people still judge by the old story and by the press. Press is one sided many times and also, I never did reveal the other people.
I am determined to change my trajectory and that of those who follow behind.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been a difficult road at best. I work two jobs and a few side gigs to support myself, My autistic son, My elderly Mother and my dream. Because some people still judge from the past , it has been hard to get support. There are so many challenges that trauma impacted women face. Not to mention that the economy is bad all around and that we started during Covid. I hang on to Faith that things can change at any time.

The Mission of Going Deeper LLC is to Change the way impacted women view themselves and to help them build self worth, value, and become fully self sufficient: We help women who have been impacted by trauma find employment and careers. We write strong cover letters and custom resumes . We even provide a Character reference letter. We help the woman who has been trauma impacted find her voice and field her dreams. We offer Spiritual mentoring. We are Public speakers and advocates and it is our vision to build an army of women who will go back into the trenches and rescue those who come after them.
We have a consulting Component where I help other women turn trauma into triumph and we are chartering the first Toastmasters in District 46 geared towards the trauma impacted woman
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
we have an amazing team of formerly incarcerated individuals who Volunteer and we have A Pastor , Shante Edgehill of St Peters Church who is collaborating to assist in offering services such as trainings and food banks. We also have two amazing Organizations Purple Essence Safety and Auseome Families . We will be forming a union with those two Organizations and calling it Strength and Unity. This allows us to offer Safety training to our clients and hope for those who have autistic children.
