Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Donigan
Hi Laura, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up, I always had the sense that there was more to the world than what I was being told. I was fascinated by things like magic, fairies, and aliens, and I couldn’t understand why everyone insisted they weren’t real. I just knew there were things out there that we couldn’t see or were told didn’t exist. My curiosity grew when my maternal grandmother, who was interested in metaphysics and New Age ideas, introduced me to the works of Dolores Cannon and Edgar Cayce. One important experience happened when she took my mom and me to see a stage hypnotist on the Las Vegas Strip when I was in elementary school. I didn’t know it at the time, but that day would have a big impact on my life. I was invited onstage as a volunteer and performed amazing physical feats while under hypnosis. I can still remember every detail of that day, and it felt like a subtle reminder of the path I was meant to take.
I grew up researching all that I could on topics such as tarot cards, numerology, astrology, psychics, reincarnation – anything I could find to explain this nagging feeling that I always had … we are not being told the truth about how powerful we are.
My first relationship in high school exposed me to the harsh realities of trauma and both physical and emotional abuse. Over the course of four years, I endured belittlement, physical violence, and infidelity, all masked as expressions of love. I was just 16 when the abuse began and struggled to break free until an extreme incident in which he attempted to throw me out of a six-story window after a night out while attending UNLV. At that point, I was emotionally shattered, with little self-esteem and no support network. In an effort to cope, I turned to methamphetamines, and my addiction intensified throughout my 20s. Eventually, I sought help by entering my first outpatient drug rehab program, which became a pivotal step toward healing and sobriety.
In 2004, I moved to Oregon to continue my career in the shopping center industry, where I met the father of my children. We married in 2008, and although I always envisioned him as the father of my kids, we struggled with compatibility, communication, and emotional intimacy. Despite my deep longing for more, his inability to communicate with me, and his mental struggles led me back into substance abuse. After seeking help through inpatient treatment and joining AA in 2015 , I began to connect with my Higher Power and look inward to address the root causes of my addiction. During this time, I also rediscovered my spirituality and interest in metaphysics, fueling my drive to heal and improve myself. Meanwhile, my marriage deteriorated despite our efforts, including counseling and reading self-help books together. Ultimately, in 2019 we decided to separate but continue living together for the sake of our children and financial stability. We made the decision to move to Florida to co-parent, as I had always dreamed of living near the beach and had never felt truly happy in Oregon.
After moving to Florida, my estranged husband’s mental health significantly deteriorated, and his life became increasingly filled with challenges. In contrast, I had finally found a place where I felt at home—I fell in love with Florida. I had a fulfilling career as an elementary teacher, built strong friendships, and even met my soulmate one afternoon in Walmart. My life seemed to be unfolding effortlessly, and I felt I was aligning with my true path. Meanwhile, my estranged husband’s life continued to unravel. In August 2022, he tragically took his own life. While I believe many factors contributed to this, the one that haunts me is his long-standing struggle with a mental condition that he had kept hidden for years. I had always suspected that his challenges were tied to past life issues, which is why I had encouraged him to explore past life regression. Although he attempted hypnosis with someone, he left discouraged, feeling it hadn’t worked, and was unwilling to try again. In the wake of his death, I found clarity in my own purpose—pursuing past life regression hypnosis, particularly using Dolores Cannon’s Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT). I enrolled in the Quantum Academy to become a QHHT practitioner, driven by the desire to help others heal from trauma. If I can help just one person, then my heart will be happy.
I am currently a Level 2 practitioner and am excited to continually work on my craft. I get to help people every day, by helping them connect to their Higher Self, and get the answers they need from past life experiences.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey has been far from easy, shaped by significant challenges including PTSD from the physical and emotional abuse I endured as a teenager, struggles with drug addiction, and the painful loss of my estranged husband to suicide. There were times I felt profoundly alone, even while surrounded by others. Despite these hardships, they have ultimately contributed to who I am today, and I am proud of the person I’ve become. I commit to my healing through practices like meditation, breathwork, gratitude journaling, daily affirmations, and exercise, all of which support the well-being of my mind, body, and soul. I am truly grateful for the life I have now and feel incredibly blessed.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Quantum Healing Hypnosis with Laura?
I am a Level 2 QHHT practitioner, trained in the method developed by Dolores Cannon in the 1960s. This hypnosis technique allows clients to experience past life regression and connect with their Higher Self for healing, clarity, and spiritual growth. My journey into QHHT began after the tragic suicide of my estranged husband, which became my driving force to help others access their Higher Self to heal and find purpose. If I can help someone avoid the pain my family faced, I feel fulfilled.
During sessions, I guide clients into the Theta state of relaxation, where they can explore past lives or soul journeys relevant to their current life experiences. After the journey, I connect with their Higher Self to ask pre-prepared questions, as it holds the records of all past and present lifetimes. Clients can ask any questions, whether related to health, purpose, or personal growth. The session is recorded, and success relies on the client continuing to listen to the recording and follow through with the work suggested by their Higher Self.
Building trust with my clients is something I value deeply. I spend the first half of the session getting to know them, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable enough to share their childhood traumas, fears, and struggles. This trust is essential for a successful session. Clients often comment on how soothing my voice is and how comfortable they feel with me. I am compassionate and dedicated to learning about my clients’ stories before we begin the hypnosis process.
I am passionate about my work. I feel fulfilled knowing I can help others uncover more about themselves through past lives and witness their healing, both physically and emotionally. Being able to serve and support others brings me great joy.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I have been fortunate to be part of a supportive network of QHHT practitioners who offer guidance and encouragement. Through an online forum, I have access to valuable information and inspiration, and I also participate in periodic retreats that allow me to refine my skills and learn from more experienced practitioners.
In my personal life, I have connected with a wonderful group of like-minded women who support and mentor one another in various aspects of spirituality and metaphysics. I discovered this group by exploring local social media communities focused on women’s consciousness and New Age topics. By attending spirituality-related events, I learned the importance of putting myself out there to meet others who could support my journey. Through these connections, I’ve built friendships with women specializing in areas such as Reiki, shamanism, tarot, and astrology, and I’ve also gained new clients. It’s been a rewarding experience to educate others about QHHT and how they can benefit from this transformative modality.
