Hi Daniel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
From a young age, I had a strong business mindset. I started by selling small trinkets, toys, and art pieces that I created, even before my teenage years. With the money I saved during junior year of high school, I bought a camera and ventured into photography & videography, launching the businesses that would lead me to D.B. Marketing Group. This experience led me to work alongside various companies on their marketing efforts, which eventually inspired me to create D.B. Marketing Group the summer after graduating high school.
Today, I work with numerous celebrities, large companies, influencers, and NBA players. & hold an impressive resume of clients such as Capital Hill, the Dallas Mavericks & the United Nations. We assist them with social media management, public relations, and marketing consultations. I have an incredible team, including a robust internship program that helps budding entrepreneurs and provides valuable career guidance. Giving back has always been important to me, and this program is a perfect way to support the community and help young entrepreneurs succeed.
In addition to my business endeavors, I’ve built a strong social media presence where I share insights about my work, business, and personal life. Through my social media efforts, I’ve connected with some of the most influential people on the planet and have had the opportunity to make a positive impact and help many people through philanthropic efforts.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Running a business is never easy, especially when you don’t have a mentor to guide you. Much of my journey has been self-directed, learning what to do and what to avoid along the way. Yes, there have been bumps in the road, but one crucial lesson I’ve learned is never to quit. You must keep moving forward, no matter how tough things get, because you have a goal to achieve, and you can’t let anything slow you down. If I had quit, I would never have forgiven myself, knowing I could have succeeded if I had kept trying. I’d rather try and fail than not try at all.
One of my biggest challenges was expanding my business and hiring more contractors and employees. It was tough to find the right people who could do the job and understand the processes I was implementing. However, once I figured that out and streamlined our operations, things improved significantly, though it was far from easy. My team is the reason we’ve reached our current level of success, and I believe that’s the essence of running a business: creating processes that enable others to perform effectively. Building that foundation is essential, but it’s also the hardest part.
