Today we’d like to introduce you to Brenda Flores
Hi Brenda, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Brenda Flores is the founder of Two Moons Studio, a holistic wellness studio located in the DC metropolitan area. She is a dedicated Spinal Energetics practitioner, Reiki practitioner, and advocate for self-love. Through her practice, Brenda helps individuals dive deep into their nervous system regulation journey, facilitating the reconnection of mind and body. She guides her clients to look inward, rediscover their innate wisdom, and harness their natural ability to heal.
Brenda works with individuals experiencing chronic physical pain, those feeling disconnected from themselves, and those seeking transformative shifts in their lives to unlock their truest potential. She also focuses on high-achieving individuals facing burnout, helping them break through barriers, reconnect with themselves, and rediscover their purpose.
Her journey into holistic wellness began after living with undiagnosed chronic pain for several years. In search of relief, she traveled to another country to see a naturopathic doctor, which led to her healing and a deeper understanding of holistic practices. This pivotal experience ignited her passion for holistic wellness, and she believes that every experience we go through is meant to pave the way for our purpose. Today, Brenda is dedicated to helping others regulate their nervous systems and reconnect with themselves in order to find their purpose.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that healing isn’t linear. Just as life happens to all of us, unexpected challenges arise that are out of our control. As a practitioner in a healing space, we’re called to look inward more often, face our own shadows, and hold ourselves accountable. This ongoing self-reflection can be intense, as it forces us to confront parts of ourselves we may not always want to see. But it’s necessary for both personal growth and to continue showing up for others in a meaningful way.
Another challenge is the sense of responsibility that comes with working in this space. It’s easy to get so focused on helping others that we forget to fill our own cups. Finding a balance between guiding others on their healing journeys and making sure I’m taking care of myself has been one of my ongoing challenges. I’ve had to learn how to step back and recharge, so I can continue to show up fully for both myself and my clients.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At Two Moons Studio, we are known for providing highly individualized plans for each of our clients. We start by conducting a thorough assessment to hear their needs and then create a tailored plan that best suits their healing journey, as no two people are alike. Our practice is built on community, trust, and collaboration between practitioner and client. We specialize in nervous system regulation through Spinal Energetics, and we complement this modality with Reiki, breathwork, and meditation, focusing on the reconnection of mind, body, and spirit to unlock one’s innate wisdom for self-healing.
What sets us apart is our client-focused approach. My work is not something I do *to* my clients; it’s collaborative. I base my sessions on what each individual is experiencing in the moment, so no session is ever the same. It’s about working with the client’s energy and body to uncover and release what’s needed at that time.
I’m most proud of the shifts and transformations I see in my clients. Watching them expand, embrace change, and lean into their desire to heal and grow is incredibly rewarding.
For anyone considering our services, I want them to know that this work is for those who are ready to look inward, peel back the layers of time and experiences stored in their bodies and nervous systems, and are willing to move forward in their lives. The journey is deep, but the results are profound.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Absolutely, I’ve been fortunate to have many people who deserve credit along this journey. First and foremost, my family—especially my children. They’ve been incredibly understanding of the hard work that goes into helping others, and they’ve always cheered me on. They’ve watched me take on all my crazy and wild business ideas, and hearing them express how proud they are of the shifts I’ve made in my life is everything. They’ve seen me at my lowest and now see me thriving, and their support has been invaluable.
I’m also deeply grateful to my teachers and mentors through my Reiki attunements and Spinal Energetics certification. They not only taught me the modalities but led by example, showing me how to embody this work with integrity and compassion.
To my friends—those who have witnessed the many versions of Brenda and continued to love and support me through it all—and to the new friends I’ve met on this journey who truly understand the depth of selflessness and empathy that this work requires, I am so thankful for your encouragement and understanding.
Finally, I have to give special credit to my clients, many of whom have become like friends and family. Their trust in me and, more importantly, their trust in themselves has been a huge part of the success I’ve experienced in my practice. Without them, none of this would be possible.
