Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Nailah’s Naturals started 4 years ago in Spring Valley, NY before relocating to New Haven, Connecticut in August of 2020. Initially I was going to start with hair care, however after careful consideration decided that skincare that was affordable and made with natural ingredients would be a game changer. Currently our products are sold online, at vendor and craft expos, and hopefully one day in a brick and mortar site.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As with any business venture there has been challenges such as expenses and not always making sales, cost of inventory, and having a limited budget for marketing. I understand that this comes with the territory especially since I work in sales at my 9-5.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Nailah’s Naturals ?
We make and sell homemade body butters, body scrubs, lip, beard, and body oils using natural ingredients that are skin friendly. I am known for creating products that customers know they can trust and we have a 5 star rating to back up our claims. Our products do not contain alot of the harsh ingredients you find in big store brands and that’s something that we are very proud of. Please stay tuned as we will be collaborating in the near future with a local brick and mortar business that is interested in one of our products as part of their summer package for their customers.
