Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Ortiz.

Hi Allison , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?

Prior to my Aesthetics Journey I was an Operating Room RN for 8 years and then transitioned to be a Family NP working in a spine and pain management for another 8 years. Having a medical spa has always been a dream of mine and my sisters. During Covid my Sister graduated from NP school and we decided that it was the perfect time to move forward with our dream. After becoming certified in Aesthetics and attending multiple private trainings in Maryland we ended up getting our LLC in august 2021 and began concierge to keep overhead low in November 2021. By March we had our Mobile Sprinter Spa which was up and running by September and six months later we had our Brick and Mortar established. No matter how many obstacles we ran into we continued to push forward.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

No the road has not always been smooth. We had difficulty finding a collaborative physician and we can’t run a medical spa without one in Pennsylvania. Since we started from complete ground zero, we didn’t come from working in aesthetics prior we had zero patients, all of our growth we have accomplished has been completely organic.

We’ve been impressed with Sorelle Aesthetics , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Sorelle Aesthetics is a nurse practitioner run medical aesthetics clinic. We provide services such as Botox, fillers and biostimulant injectables, as well as facials/ skincare services, laser, cryotherapy and wellness services. We always think outside the box and we are the first mobile medical spa in our area. We are most proud that our brand is not your typical medical spa, we have always strived to elevate patient experience and blend medical spa results with luxury day spa relaxation. We achieved Philadelphia Style’s 2024 Innovator in Aesthetics.

What do you like and dislike about the city?

Allentown is unfortunately on the smaller side however it has great opportunities for small businesses and is located very close to other major cities such as Philadelphia.
