Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Haselberger.
Hi Alexis, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m a time management, productivity and stress reduction coach! I spent the first 15+ years of my career managing operations and HR at several early-stage start-ups, where there was way more to do than people to do it. Burnout was rampant. While working in these high-stress environments (and having a couple of kids along the way), I started developing and implementing strategies for productivity at work, and in my personal life, to ensure that goals were met, balls were not dropped, and that, most importantly, stress didn’t get the best of me.
People started to notice that I was highly effective, without working excessive hours, and started coming to me for help.
I soon realized that I had acquired a skillset that I could teach to others.
And most importantly, I was able to help people implement the systems and strategies that worked well for their brains and circumstances. (Everyone’s different.)
A business was born!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t hard and that there weren’t struggles! Of course there were. For me, the biggest hurdle in the beginning was simply learning how to talk about my business and my services without feeling too schmoozy/salesy. It didn’t come naturally, and so I had to practice. A lot!
And in the beginning, there was a lot of hustling, getting my name out there, meeting people, going to events, etc. This was hard because I’m an introvert (even though most people think I’m an extrovert!).
A time of particular note is when, during the beginning of the pandemic, I lost a big client because they decided to stop using external instructors and trainers. At the time this represented about 40% of my business and I was very scared. But from that experience, I learned to diversify my revenue streams.
From every hardship, you learn important things for the future!
We’ve been impressed with Alexis Haselberger Coaching and Consulting, Inc, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is a time management, productivity and stress reduction coaching and consulting firm. I help busy professionals (and teams!) do more and stress less through coaching (group and 1:1), workshops/seminars and online courses.
My pragmatic, irreverent, approach helps people easily integrate realistic strategies into their lives so that they can do more of what they want and less of what they don’t.
I’ve taught thousands of individuals to take control of their time and my clients include Google, Lyft, Workday, Capital One, Upwork and more.
I’m quite different from your average “productivity coach” however, because I’m not about “more, better, faster, eke productivity out of every moment”. Instead, I focus on helping people integrate sustainable strategies so that their time can truly reflect their goals and values. To me, productivity means “doing what you intended to do”.
Also, I approach every client and student as a true individual. I don’t assume that what worked for me will work for you. We work together to find strategies that work for each person’s unique brain, personality and circumstances.
My approach is comprehensive and full of compassion.
What are your plans for the future?
I’ve been growing my “Time Well Spent” group coaching program and course and intend to keep on growing these programs so I can help more people.
I created this program when I had a 6 month waitlist for 1:1 coaching, because it didn’t feel good to tell people I couldn’t help them right away!
I’m also in the beginning stages of thinking about writing a book!
And I just launched a podcast: Do More, Stress Less with Alexis Haselberger (domorestresslesspodcast.com)
