One of the best things about video games is the ability to restart – you can use your learnings to move faster and avoid obstacles. If I could change anything about when I first started, it would be one mindset. “If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.” I spent tens of thousands of dollars on many mistakes in the pursuit of trying to make things about my business “better” when in reality, those things were working perfectly fine already. If I were starting over today, I would lead with my network — intentionally and unapologetically. Instead of spending so much time trying to prove myself to strangers online, I’d start by nurturing the people already in my circle — the ones who trust me, cheer for me, and understand my heart.
