I don’t really have just one hero—I like to think of my whole family as a superhero team! My musical journey started when I was very young, probably because my parents love music so much, and their love for it became my passion too. My mom plays the piano, and she taught me all the notes and simple songs when I was little. My dad plays guitar, and he’s helped me get better at playing guitar over the years. They’ve both taught me to keep going, believe in myself, and keep working towards my dream of being a musician. My father is my hero. He has always been my greatest supporter, standing by me in every interest I’ve pursued and refuses to give up on me. One of the values he instilled in me early on is the importance of punctuality. I’m not just “on time”—I make it a point to be early. If there’s even the slightest chance I might be late, I communicate as quickly as possible because I value others’ time and expect the same in return. When it comes to my career and business, my husband, Colby, is my number one hero. My business simply would not exist without him. I have watched him pivot careers and dive into a world where he started out as a small fish in a big pond, where he faced a giant learning curve. He worked so hard to not only be able to do his job correctly, but to excel to the point where other higher-ups in the company that employs 65k+ people, where requesting to work with him. He has gone through a grueling review process twice a year for five years and every single time he gets exceptional feedback and sometimes is in the top 5% of employees to score as high as he does.
