My hero is my uncle, Sgt Keith E. Fiscus whom unfortunately was killed in action in Iraq. He has influenced my journey from the start, he may no longer be with us however I do believe with out him I would not have started my business. We shared a love adventure and taking pictures. My passion for photographs developed and I can’t remember a time when I haven’t had a camera in my hand. He truly always encouraged me that I can do whatever I put my mind to. After his passing I wanted to document everything I saw, because truly I didn’t want to forget. Read more>>

Who is my hero?! Albert Einstein of course. One of the world’s most misunderstood. He was so intelligent and spiritual, while also being creative. He has taught me that your imagination is dangerous to everyone around you and that it’s the only place where everything is private. It is a glimpse of what is to come. To have control of your imagination is to manifest, it is the story writer’s role. Albert didn’t let people’s words discourage him from being who he was. Read more>>

My son is my hero. Having him has brought more fulfillment to my life. I’ve been more motivated, creative & inspired than ever before! I feel like I didn’t really know what I wanted for my life until he came. God placed him in my life at the perfect time and I am forever grateful. One of the lessons I learn from him is that life goes by fast! He’s been growing so quickly and it reminds me to cherish every moment and be present. Read more>>

My mother is my hero. I’ve watched her work two jobs to make sure me and my brother had everything we needed as a child. She was a victim of domestic abuse and she survived. The lessons that I’ve learned from seeing her struggle is “never giving up”. She is the reason why I keep pushing and chasing after my dreams. She always taught me to put my faith in GOD and keep him first. I’ve did that throughout my life and I must say it has gotten me along way in life and I’m blessed. Read more>>

For me, this is the easiest question to answer from the dropdown. I have been blessed with lots of help along the way, from borrowing fork trucks, to driving a ton (literally one ton) of Bacon Jam up to Chicago on occasion. However none have held the line for me like my Aunt Becky. And while she has been gone for some time now, there is no other reason as to why I am here, doing what I have been doing. Read more>>

My two kids, ages 13 + 15, are truly my heroes! They always inspire + motivate me, and teach me how to approach each new day with a sense of magical awe + wonder-filled fun! If I’m feeling overwhelmed or stressed, they encourage me to look at life’s challenges with a sense of adventure + fortitude. . Starting a one woman owned + operated small business in the midst of the pandemic in 2020 was definitely a challenge. I remember coming home one night, tired, frustrated, and feeling like giving up. The next morning I found a beautiful note from my daughter… Read more>>

I have been fascinated by Elon Musk. His story and journey through life bereft with failures and personal loss, and his unequivocal drive to achieve his goals in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacle is a case study in true resilience and grit. He has influenced my journey greatly. Like him, I too immigrated to the USA from West Africa for better opportunities. Also like him, I too lost a son.A very dark period for me. Read more>>
