I think If I was to start over today. I would’ve followed my gut more; listened to my inner self. I was slow to make some career choices which potentially slowed my growth in how people viewed me and the work I produced. Oh my gosh…SO many things! I wasted time. I wasted money. I wasted brain cells and hours of sleep. I chased the wrong leads. I said the wrong words. No doubt I probably wasted a few good opportunities in that list, too. If I really sit back and look at the last 10+ years that led to today, all I can do is laugh at how truly green I was when I started. I had NO IDEA what I was doing! Good question! If I could start over there are a thousand things I would have done differently. There are two major things I would have done differently with the first one being JUST DO IT. Don’t second guess yourself, do not overthink the process. by doing these things you are slowing down your progress. I would believe in my product and my ability to deliver quality and creativity that cannot be replicated, and I would earn what I now know that I am worth. If I were to start over, I’d likely opt for establishing a brand that’s more budget-friendly to connect with a broader audience. Building a luxury brand is both demanding and expensive. You need to understand the language, ensure the imagery is spot-on, and the investment required to develop the pieces can be quite substantial. Read more>>
