If I were to start over from the beginning of my career, I suppose there would be a couple of things I‘d do differently. I know that some business mistakes were made for sure, and those I just kind of have to laugh off and realize that I guess everyone makes those. There be a few things I wouldn’t have invested in and somethings I would have invested in. A few things that I thought were holding me back in my career, or what I was letting me hold back in my photography career really could’ve jumpstarted and cleared a path moving in the direction that I wanted. I have worked since I was 14. I started in a very small diner in Miami, as a cashier a few days a week. I stayed in the restaurant/catering business until I was 29. If I was able to start over I wouldn’t change anything, I mean to get to where I am at now FASTER…(thinking to myself) Yikes!!! I would’ve missed out on the experiences of the L’s I’ve taken and turn them into LESSONS! I’m still growing within my purpose every day and I’m grateful that I learn something new every day within my lane! It brings me great joy because I get intrigued and overjoyed to still want to learn about perfecting styling! I believe it’s no shortcut to get to where I am at today and/or success faster. I would probably learn sales and conversational skills sooner. Learning this exploded my career as a photographer on social media. This would have opened opportunities for myself much sooner. In the creative industry something that sets apart successful people and those who quit is there ability to sell their creative pieces and connect with people. The faster myself or anyone learns that skill the quicker great things will happen for them. Read more>>

If I were to do it all over again, I would have focused on building our brand and audience through story telling. Marketing a brand today is so expensive and ineffective. People are desensitized to advertising. A compelling and authentic experience is what people prefer. I would have started first by telling our story first before trying to sell anything. Read more>>

If I were starting over, I’d have been much, much kinder to myself. Treating ourselves well can be severely underrated — and when we’re kind, it’s contagious. I think I’d not have had certain perceived roadblocks and been even more enthusiastic about putting myself out there! Read more>>
