The number one thing we hear from entrepreneurs and artists and creatives when we ask them about their education is about how irrelevant it was to their story. Sure, some folks had wonderful educational experiences, but for many their experiences left them feeling ill prepared for life and their careers. So, we wanted to create a space for folks to share their experiences and ideas for how we can improve our educational system.

My time as a high school teacher was a deeply rewarding experience, but it also highlighted the shortcomings of our current educational model. I saw countless bright, capable students stifled by a system that prioritized standardized tests over critical thinking and creativity. We need to shift our focus from rote memorization to developing well-rounded individuals equipped to tackle complex problems. Read more>>

While I’m not an educator nor work in the realm of education any longer, I want to first commend those like my best friend, Sarah, who works hard in the education field to make a difference. The education system has many flaws that must be addressed in an effort to help children. Strengthening mental health programs in schools, supporting educators in their understanding of how to work with students in high poverty areas, requiring that high schools have multiple career tech programs for students who want to enter trade fields instead of college and provide more real-world experiences to prepare students for a life of understanding cultural differences and accepting people for who they are. Education is a person’s first chance to begin learning social norms that could impact how they are perceived in society. School should be equipped with opportunities for students to be who they are by exploring their personal interests. Read more>>

The reason I feel that way it because of what. I see throughout the healing world. I have witness so many children doing better at school after doing clearings. Read more>>
