Today we’d like to introduce you to Vernon Williams.
Hi Vernon, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Karibe (https://karibecompany.com/) was founded in New Jersey. It all started with my Caribbean upbringing that inspired me to start this company. I wanted to highlight African and Caribbean cuisine, which we call the kulture (https://karibecompany.com/the-kulture/).
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been an emotional one. Many ups and downs, but with consistency and persistence I have been able to overcome all obstacles. I’m looking forward to new challenges as every road bump is a learning experience.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Karibe is a black owned (https://karibecompany.com/black-owned-kitchenware/) home decor brand. Currently since we are starting out, we are focusing on cookware but looking to expand. Our kulture (https://karibecompany.com/the-kulture/) is what sets us apart from other brands. I am mostly proud about our brand’s resilience to overcome any obstacle thrown our way. All I ask from your readers is to look into our brand and try to gather the message on what we are trying to deliver. Be sure to subscribe to KaribeTV (https://www.youtube.com/@-KaribeTV) as we use our channel as an outlet to show our message.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Since Caribbean people have diverse backgrounds, we use our background as an opportunity to experiment in the kitchen. Tune into KaribeTV (https://www.youtube.com/@-KaribeTV) to get all the details.
