Today we’d like to introduce you to Ty Little
Hi Ty , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started out in marketing within the music industry while in college at Norfolk State University. I ended up transferring to Delaware State University and finished with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. I came in second place at a Deloitte case competition in Atlanta and ended up spending some time working at Johannes Leonardo which is a pretty prestigious agency in New York. From those experiences, I knew for sure I had what it takes to compete in the business world. I started to see opportunities working with brands and corporations and I knew I was good at solving problems creatively so I founded BlueRobin. It’s a creative agency dedicated to pushing culture forward through bold, innovative ideas.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was never a smooth road but I know what I signed up for. I’ve been embracing adversity all my life so building BlueRobin hasn’t been different. We’ve spent thousands of dollars on ventures and haven’t seen any positive returns. Regardless of the struggles we face, there’s an understanding that perseverance gets us to the finish line. Having that mindset keeps new business coming in and helps BlueRobin rise through the ranks.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about BlueRobin ?
BlueRobin specializes in advertising and creative services for midsized brands, startups, and small businesses. We’re experts in solving problems creatively and are quicker, better & more cost-efficient than our competitors. We offer flexible creative services with better ideas based on consumer behavior and cultural understanding. We understand what moves people and pop culture. At the end of the day, all of our work is created with the intent for the end consumer to remember it for the next 10 years.
When a brand is fed up with working with an ad agency that is under the holding company umbrellas like WPP, Omnicom, and IPG it’s time to come see us. Brands want flexibility, innovation, and creativity, and the big agencies are having a hard time providing that for them right now because they’re so focused on scale and not the clients. We’re allowing brands to work with us on a project basis, and create high-quality content at a cost-efficient price point. Our client service is better and we’re not trying to force sell bundled advertising services. This year we rolled out personalized consulting and advisory services for small businesses and athletes. They seem to like that service a lot based on our data.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I can’t say there’s just one but I believe good character is one of the most important traits to my success and BlueRobins’. Doing business the right way and being transparent with partners is beneficial to long-term business success. People are willing to help you when you treat them right.
