I’m Samantha Simmons, co-founder of Dream Forge and founder of S\&S Services, two ventures close to my heart that focus on empowering women to achieve their dreams. My journey into entrepreneurship began out of necessity and resilience. When my husband became permanently disabled, I went from being a stay-at-home mom to navigating the complexities of being a caregiver, breadwinner, and planner for my family. It was overwhelming at first, but my faith, determination, and the support of my community became my compass through it all.
In this transition, I realized the need for flexible work that could support my family while allowing me to still be present for my two strong-willed boys. This led to the creation of S\&S Services, a for-profit business that provides virtual accounting services with a focus on connection, authenticity, and mutual growth. Through S&S Services, I’ve been able to help other women entrepreneurs and small business owners streamline their operations and grow their businesses while creating flexible job opportunities for others. I’m proud of how this venture has not only supported my family but also strengthened the bond within our community of like-minded, driven women.
My passion for entrepreneurship, family, and supporting other women eventually brought me together with Ashley Beesley to co-found Dream Forge, a nonprofit dedicated to mentoring and equipping women entrepreneurs with the resources and community they need to succeed. Whether through S&S Services or Dream Forge, it’s my mission to help women turn their dreams into reality, just as I’ve been able to do for myself and my family.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The growth on paper has been incredible, but the journey itself has been far from smooth. While there have been many rewarding moments, there have also been challenges in relationships, feelings, and learning along the way. Over the past year, my team at S\&S has undergone a significant transformation. Many of the people who started this journey with me have moved on to pursue their own passions, which I couldn’t be prouder of. The team I have now truly embodies the vision I have for S\&S and is helping take it to the next level.
On a personal level, I’ve also had to make sacrifices. For instance, my initial plan was to homeschool my children, but that’s no longer the case. Instead, we’ve found an amazing school that aligns with many of the values my husband and I hold dear. While it wasn’t the original plan, it’s been a blessing.
The road hasn’t been easy, but growth and improvement rarely are. I’m constantly identifying areas for improvement, figuring out how to fill the gaps, and discerning the best path forward. Thankfully, I’m not alone in making these decisions, and for that, I am deeply grateful.

- $595 – Teach Me How – Gain confidence in managing your business’s books with four personalized 60-minute sessions tailored to your specific needs. Plus, enjoy an additional hour of behind-the-scenes support to ensure you’re fully equipped. *All sessions and support time must be utilized within 6 weeks of the first session.*
- Starting at just $395 per month, our bookkeeping services are designed specifically for small businesses. Enjoy weekly check-ins, meticulous account management, and the convenience of a 30-minute video consultation with your dedicated team member.
