Hi Pharoah T.K.E, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?

Oh man. Its been a while since asked this type of question. I was born and raised in Waterloo, Iowa, where the quiet, expansive surroundings gave me plenty of room to dream and imagine. From an early age, I was captivated by the magic of storytelling—whether through books, movies, cartoons or my own vivid imagination. One of the defining moments of my childhood was watching Godzilla (1998), which remains my favorite movie of all time. It was a film that sparked my love for storytelling and introduced me to the joy of popcorn films, where spectacle and emotion come together to create unforgettable experiences.

As I grew up, my passion for films expanded into a love for creating stories of my own. I started exploring different ways to bring ideas to life—acting, writing, and eventually producing. Each step of the way, I found new ways to express my creativity and connect with others through the power of narrative.

Today, I’m proud to wear many hats as a writer, producer, actor, and screenwriting consultant. I’ve built a career crafting original stories, helping others refine their own, and contributing to projects that entertain and inspire. Whether I’m working on a short film for AK Film Group, streaming gaming content on The Blk Box, or helping someone shape their script or I.P, my journey is rooted in that same love for storytelling that started back in Iowa with a big screen and a giant lizard.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

Definitely not at all. The journey has been anything but smooth, and I wouldn’t change that because those struggles shaped who I am today. When I first started, I was naive, trying to find my way in an ever-changing industry. I thought there might be an easy way in or a shortcut to success, but I quickly learned there’s no substitute for persistence, hard work, and resilience.
At one point, I moved from state to state, chasing opportunities and hoping to break in. I fell short many times, living with estranged relatives and trying to find my niche. Each setback taught me something about myself and what I truly wanted from this career. I realized that finding my voice and honing my craft would take time, patience, and trust in my journey.
While the road hasn’t been easy, it’s been worth it. Every misstep and challenge helped me grow, and those experiences have given me the drive to keep pushing forward. I’ve learned that the key isn’t finding the easiest way in—it’s building a foundation that lasts.

What I dislike, though, are the people who take this place for granted. There’s so much beauty and inspiration here that often gets overlooked. Sometimes, all it takes is slowing down and really listening to see and appreciate what this city has to offer.
