Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Paulson
Lindsey, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my journey with being a part of “corporate America”. I was an operations manager and leader for Marriott International and I cannot say enough good things about the experience. I learned the ins and outs of operations, customer service, accounting, and so much more. Eventually, I was able to take that knowledge and pour it into small businesses in my community and open my own operational consulting firm.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I don’t believe anything in entrepreneurship is “smooth sailing” but I do believe you can learn and adapt at any point. Some of the struggles that I’ve faced have involved setting up all the automations and marketing on the front end to be able to benefit on the back end. Most of the struggles I’ve endured have been time constraints which have taught me to pivot along the way. Ultimately, time management has been the biggest resource and benefit to my company.
As you know, we’re big fans of LP Consulting. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
LP Consulting is a one stop shop for small business owners. I help business owners create their systems and processes, standard operating procedures, set up CRM’s, bookkeeping, marketing and more. I love being able to see their business grow and scale and allow them to pursue their passion. What sets LP Consulting apart from many other operational entities is that my passion truly lies in non-profit work. I am an avid volunteer for a handful of non-profits in my area and strive to create an overall positive community impact. Currently, I offer 1:1 consulting– as well as many online options.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I find that mentors can be found in a variety of areas. If there is an online subject matter expert that you aspire to be– a lot of what you can generate and create can be found by learning about their processes. MOST online experts also create a pathway for you to learn from them, as well as duplicate the process. In regard to networking- I love being able to engage with women entrepreneurs specifically– and encourage them along their journey to set up automations. I find it rewarding to watch a client be able to focus on family and work harmony because they are reaping the reward of process. I live in a smaller community so being able to network with the businesses in the local area has been huge.
