Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Henriquez.
Hi Jennifer, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi there! My name is Jennifer Henriquez and I am the founder of Coaching with Grace. Coaching with Grace is a holistic life coaching service that helps 9-5 women and educators achieve work/life balance, mindset reset, and stop limiting beliefs that might be hindering their goals. I myself am a school counselor and consider my job a traditional “9-5”. I actually LOVE my job but I started to notice my colleagues feeling overwhelmed with simple day to day tasks. I also noticed that they didn’t feel seen. At one point in my career I felt alone, judged, and overwhelmed. I went to therapy and although it helped me navigate my feelings I didn’t know my next steps. When I started my coaching career I knew this would be a niche that I know I can help impact. I’m a firm believer that you can have more than one passion in life. I love my job but coaching gives me creative freedom to help others in a way that I wish someone helped me.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road but it has been a learning opportunity. I struggled with wearing so many hats. Im the coach, the accountant, social media strategist etc. Its been amazing to see how much I’ve learned and have grown throughout this process. I never saw myself owning my own business but its made me realize that I am more capable than I thought.
We’ve been impressed with Coaching with Grace, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I feel the name describes me the most. I try to do everything in my life with grace. It’s how I want my clients to feel. Coaching with Grace is a Holistic Life Coaching service. My content pillars consist of mindset, confidence, work/life balance. I firm believer that you should love what you do. If you don’t its either the job itself or its how you view yourself in that job. And if it’s you then its your job to help yourself get to the best possible situation you can. I feel as though I am at a perfect advantage because I’m actually still working as a counselor. I’m not preaching or teaching anything I don’t do myself or haven’t experience. I can relate to my clients at their level. The thing I’m most proud of is that I am able to take my gift of helping others and seeing the change they make. I really love seeing others blossom into the individuals they are meant to be. I am always looking for new clients and I currently offer one on one coaching services. Whether it be for 1 session, or 6 months.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I am blessed to say that I’ve had some amazing mentors in my life. My mom has been my biggest supporter and encouraged me in my career. I’m also very lucky to say that I’ve had amazing women bosses who taught me how to be a leader and advocate for myself. I’ve also hired my own coaches to get to where I am today. I know many people want to make it on their own but having help doesn’t make you weak, it gives you support and accountabilty.
