Hi Frederick , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I have been an avid Cigar Smoker since 2009 and I had an opportunity to speak with someone who I was discussing additional streams of income with.
We somehow got onto the topic of Cigars and what was supposed to be a forty-five (45) minute conversation upgraded to a two and a half hour conversation. It was mostly me explaining the Cigar Culture and Lifestyle, particularly among People of Color.
We spoke about Accessories which include portable Humidors, Cases, Lighters, Cutters and Pokers. When she simply said “why don’t you sell your own???” it put my mind on fire and so began SARELIX Accessories LLC.
Before anything I researched and researched both US and Foreign Cigar Vendors that no one else was using and to make sure they are also of high-quality Leather.
And now today, I am extremely proud of what my Team and I have accomplished.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Smooth is definitely not the word we would use early on, but it has gotten significantly better.
In the beginning, we were working with both domestic and foreign vendors and stretching ourselves too thin. Orders being processed too late, deliveries coming late or sometimes not at all, refunds not happening or being disputed, etc. To say it was a mess is an understatement.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
The business started after Covid, so other than the standard health protocols it hasn’t been a direct issue with us.
