Today we’d like to introduce you to Daylan West.
Hi Daylan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey has been all about growth and learning from my experiences. I started out feeling stuck and realized my life wasn’t heading where I wanted it to go. That realization pushed me to take control and dive into personal development. Journaling and mindfulness became my go-to tools for self-reflection and building confidence.
As I grew, I felt called to share what I was learning with others. That’s what led me to create the Day2Day Journal, a tool to help people focus on their mental health and personal growth. Over time, I’ve also built a career in real estate wholesaling, adding another layer to my journey as an entrepreneur.
Now, I’m an author and coach, helping others find clarity and confidence in their own lives. I’m passionate about creating spaces for real conversations, especially within the Black community, and building something meaningful through writing, speaking, and connecting with others. My story is all about taking what I’ve learned and using it to inspire growth—not just in myself but in the people around me.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that’s what makes the journey real. I’ve had to face a lot of self-doubt, moments where I felt stuck or unsure if I was even on the right path. One of my biggest struggles has been learning how to balance everything—work, personal growth, and relationships—while staying true to who I am.
There were also times when I had to overcome my own fear of being vulnerable, especially when putting my story and my work out there for others to see. Public speaking about my brand was tough at first, but I realized the power in owning my voice and my story.
Another big challenge has been the grind of entrepreneurship—figuring out how to stay disciplined, manage my time, and push through when things didn’t go as planned. But through it all, I’ve learned that every challenge has shaped me into the person I am today, and I wouldn’t trade the lessons for anything.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Day2Day Life?
My business is all about personal growth and helping people navigate life with clarity and confidence. I’m the creator of the Day2Day Journal, a guided mental health and personal development tool that encourages mindfulness, self-reflection, and intentional living. It’s designed to help people build self-awareness, boost confidence, and take actionable steps toward their goals.
What sets my brand apart is its authenticity. Everything I create comes from a place of personal experience and growth. I don’t just talk about mindfulness and personal development—I live it. I believe in creating tools and spaces that feel real, relatable, and impactful, especially for people in the African American community.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the fact that my work has resonated with so many people. Whether it’s speaking engagements, collaborations, or bulk orders of the journal for schools and organizations, I’ve seen how much of a difference it can make. It’s an incredible feeling to know that something I created is helping others.
For anyone reading, I want you to know that my brand is here to support you on your journey. Whether you’re looking for tools to help you reflect and grow, speaking sessions that inspire and motivate, or simply a reminder that you’re not alone, my focus is on meeting you where you are and helping you move forward.
What’s next?
Looking ahead, I’m focused on expanding my impact in personal development and mindfulness. One of my biggest plans is to create a planner under the Day2Day Life brand, which will build on the journal’s success by offering more tools to help people stay organized and intentional in their daily lives.
I’m also planning to dive deeper into speaking engagements, especially with youth in schools and organizations, to share my journey and encourage them to prioritize mental health and personal growth. Getting my journal into more schools and mental health programs through bulk orders is another big goal—creating resources that really make a difference for people.
On a personal level, I’m working toward financial independence, so I can focus more on what I love—teaching, creating, and building a community around mindfulness and growth. I’m also planning to buy a new car soon and continue refining my path as an entrepreneur, author, and speaker.
Big picture, I want to keep building a movement that promotes mental health and personal development, especially in the African American community. I’m excited about creating spaces where people feel empowered to grow, reflect, and truly thrive.
