Today we’d like to introduce you to Carol Teitelbaum, Mft

Hi Carol , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?

I have been a psychotherapist since 1985 and when I am delivering a talk I always say , and that is a really long time. I have been assisting people who suffered trauma ever since, studying with some of the greatest names in the field.
Today I produce the It Happens to Boys Conference and we are in our 16 th year offering hope and healing to male survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

I shared this story at a conference, a gentleman called to offer support for what I was doing and when I told him he said oh that is a bit to heavy of a topic. If it was about animals, yes no
Problem, but sexual abuse. No
