Today we’d like to introduce you to Ahyoka Yeshua El
Hi Ahyoka, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hi! I’m Ahyoka. I’m a wife, #BOSSMOM of 3, International Best Selling Author, Speaker, CEO of Streamline Success Int’l, Creator of I Am Ahyoka and Founder of #BOSSMOM University where “We Grind Differently.”
It was 4 am and exhaustion gnawed at me. I was hunched over my laptop, fueled by ambition and a desperate desire to succeed in my business. Then, my little one’s cries shattered the silence. As I held her closely to my chest, a wave of emotions crashed over me. The guilt, the frustration, the feeling of being a complete failure – both as a mom and an entrepreneur – became overwhelming. In that raw moment, with tears flowing down my face, I faced a stark choice: surrender to despair or fight for something better.
It was then the vision for #BOSSMOM University ignited. I knew countless moms like me craved not just business success, but a life overflowing with purpose, joy, and a deep connection to their families. I yearned to create a space where moms could bring the joy back to motherhood, heal from past hurts, build unshakeable confidence, and thrive in all areas of life, not just survive. A place where we could “Heal the Mom, Heal the Home” and spark generational healing.
I know first hand what it means to triumph over trauma and become resilient. On my journey to healing I had to learn how to push past my own childhood traumas of being molested by a girl, and how ti impacted every area of my life. Now I have the honor of helping other women and especially #BOSSMOMS push past theirs to flourish in life and business.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Over the years the road to launching my business brands has not been smooth at all! I have been overwhelmed, frustrated and paralyzed because the vision was so big and I didn’t know where to start. I have started and stopped, started and stopped, so many times I’ve lost count. I wanted to quit again and again due to life’s disruptions but I never did. There were many opportunities for growth as I navigated managing being a wife, stay at home mom, homeschool teacher, entrepreneur, building my life estate, and active in my investment club. Coupling this with overcoming internal conflicts like low self-esteem, doubt, fear of failure, fear of success, low self-worth, imposter syndrome, comparison and anxiety, eroded my confidence and how I showed up in the marketplace. I had to learn how to manage the demands and stress of all my roles and find a system and schedule that worked for my household, all while trying to teach my children and build a business was more than a notion. However, one of the biggest challenges was being told by the Most High to put my business down after I just launched #BOSSMOM University and had major plans on Clubhouse.
I was reluctant but when I did, he revealed how broken my marriage, children and I were. I was so busy chasing business and success that I forgot what was most important – my tribe. For the entire year of 2021, I didn’t do any business and I took the time to heal and truly know Him on another level. During this time, something amazing happened! The book I began writing took on a life of itself and the name was changed to Flourish: Replanting Seeds of Purpose. I now know that I was meant to bloom, prosper, grow and succeed in life as well as business. I was created to flourish. I didn’t always know this because throughout my life everything I touched flourished but I forgot to touch myself. I was not cultivating my own land and it was desolate. This included my marriage and children.
With this fresh revelation and the birthing of my book, on 1/27/2022 I launched the Flourish Movement to help other women like myself heal from childhood sexual trauma, uproot the negative seeds that were planted, and replant seeds of purpose in every area of their life. In other words, I was ready to walk with them to help them triumph over trauma, cultivate resilience and flourish in life and business. This way of living, of flourishing, has become a lifestyle and now helps me in my business as I help other #BOSSMOMS of faith learn to do the same.
I may sound confident on paper and it seems as if I have accomplished a lot, but trust me it took a long time to get to where I am today. Due to past childhood trauma that reproduced tainted seeds in my life so much had to be uprooted – so much had to heal. My name means one who brings happiness yet for the majority of my life I placed everyone else’s happiness above my own which kept me from pursuing my dreams. I was too afraid I would fail and I didn’t have enough self-worth or faith in my talents, gifts, skillsets, or capabilities to bet on myself so I stayed stuck in my life for a very long time. However, over time I healed and triumphed over my trauma.
Even with my accomplishments over the years with my brands and helping #BOSSMOMS flourish, I am extremely proud that as a mother I was able to show my children what it means to not quit. They have seen firsthand the good, bad, and ugly of entrepreneurship and what I have sacrificed. They saw me transition from chasing business, money, and success to chasing my tribe, a deeper relationship with Yahweh, joy, happiness, peace, healing, and self-love on my own terms.
I want all the #BOSSMOMS and future #BOSSMOMS reading this article to know that you don’t have to choose between your calling and your home. You don’t have to sacrifice one for the other, you just have to grind differently. As the founder of #BOSSMOM University, I am committed to serving my purpose driven #BOSSMOMS of faith with the tools and strategies they need to go after what they want without sacrificing what they love the most – their family, their time, their freedom or themselves. You are needed, you are necessary and I am here to support you on your journey. Welcome, Home.
We’ve been impressed with #BOSSMOM University, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
#BOSSMOM University (BMU) helps purpose-driven #BOSSMOMS of faith answer the age old question we all struggle with, and no it’s not “Mom, what’s for dinner?” but rather “How do I have it all without sacrificing what I love the most?” While many business coaching programs focuses solely on skills, #BOSSMOM University goes beyond the typical coaching program and offers a holistic approach to address the emotional, spiritual, and practical needs of our #BOSSMOMS. We are a community and school that offers tools and strategies to help:
1. Heal the Heart: Through trauma-informed coaching and a supportive community, we help moms identify and overcome limiting beliefs that often hold them back personally and professionally. This holistic approach equips moms to heal and show up authentically and powerfully in all aspects of life. For instance, there was a client who was a single mompreneur, and struggled with self-worth due to a childhood experience. Through our program she identified the root cause, experienced a major shift and developed coping mechanisms to help her thrive. Within 3 months, she moved forward with completing her book and launching her tour, which previously took her years to get started.
2. Strengthen Your Faith: For many moms, faith is a cornerstone. #BOSSMOM University integrates faith-based principles, fostering a Christian sisterhood that provides strength, inspiration, and a deeper connection to their beliefs. In one instance, a workshop experience helped a grieving participant find peace and healing after a miscarriage, thus allowing her to return to her passion with a renewed focus.
3. Create Practical Strategies for Success: Our signature B.O.S.S. System framework equips moms to overcome obstacles, gain clarity, monetize skills, and create a roadmap for success. This empowers them to maximize their impact and achieve financial freedom.
4. Cultivate A Fulfilling Life: We promote Living Life in Rotation. #BOSSMOM University’s philosophy ditches the “balance” myth and embraces a sustainable approach to life. Our philosophy focuses on time management, impactful action and self-care.
Ultimately, #BOSSMOM University isn’t just about building businesses; it’s about building flourishing lives. We empower moms to conquer burnout, embrace self-care, and cultivate stronger family relationships. It’s about creating a life filled with joy, purpose, and the freedom to pursue their dreams on their own terms.
We are truly excited about this upcoming year as we launch the online school this fall, the #BOSSMOM coaching planner and next year October 9-12, 2025 will be our first annual retreat. The four day retreat will take place in Eastern Shore Virginia and includes speakers, workshops, fun experiences and separate activities for the children. The goal of the conference is to help reduce stress, mommy guilt, lighten the invisible mental load and learn strategies to implement at home to help curate a more peaceful, loving and joyous environment. The #BOSSMOMS will learn how to live life in rotation, place their families first, develop time management techniques, create a streamlined roadmap and cultivate healing for personal and professional growth! Now tell me, what #BOSSMOM wouldn’t want that?
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years I see more companies addressing trauma issues in the workplace and offering trauma informed healing as a way to help their employees achieve greater success personally and professionally. Also more and more women are leaving corporate jobs to spend more time with their families or not returning after having a child. They are shifting their focus to becoming digital entrepreneurs so they can have the freedom to live life on their terms. I am seeing even more so the need for communities to help Moms find healing so they can cultivate generational healing within the home.
