One of the most heartwarming stories in my career is deeply tied to my memories of my father. Growing up in the countryside of Japan, I shared a special bond with him through food. He loved cooking and eating and often told my mother, “Never skimp on food—choose the best ingredients and savor them.” Having had late-night ramen with my father which was made by him remains one of my happiest memories. I have had a client that sees me consistently over the course of 3 years. I originally started seeing them due to postpartum anxiety that had rendered them in a lot of fear as a first time mother and showed up more in physical symptoms. Throughout our time together she conquered many battles from learning how to speak her truth, set clear boundaries, process deep inner childhood trauma, and trauma from her previous fertility path to conceive their current little one. As I witnessed her step more and more into her power owning her light and learning to value herself in many ways I have found myself in immense moments of pride and pure gratitude for her continuous strength and courage to show up for herself and her family. I’ll always remember a woman I coached who had a powerful realization during an exercise where she visualized her future self. At first, she described seeing herself walking confidently — perhaps a few pounds lighter — radiant and beautiful. But as the exercise continued, she began to notice something unsettling: her future self looked almost exactly as she did now. She grew anxious and stressed. Curious, I asked her why this was troubling. She explained, “Don’t you see? I look the same, which means I haven’t evolved.” She shared that in her life, every significant event had prompted her to change her appearance. Noticing her vibrant pink hair, I gently asked, “Were those significant events positive or negative?” Without hesitation, she replied, “They were all negative.” Read more>>

I have a few heartwarming stories I can tell that I have encountered over my journey but this one was my favorite. I was at a calisthenics workout park in Ecorse, Michigan when a little boy came around me and was intrigued by my workouts and tripod. He asked if I did workout videos on YouTube and says he always wanted to go viral. The reason it was heartwarming for myself was because he was interested in what I was doing and wanted to be apart of it. I told him to “come here” so that he could get into the intro of my video and we did some muscular poses and shook hands at the end with wholesome smiles on our faces. I love that the youth finds what I do interesting because it opens up their imagination to get physically active. Read more>>

There are many heartwarming moments I’ve experienced in my career, but I’d say our Give Back Program we have at Deleted Scene Tattoo Removal, is a large reason I enjoy what I do. Deleted Scene’s Give Back program provides free, safe, and effective laser removal of radiation marks for cancer survivors. Medical or radiation marks/tattoos are used on cancer patients to mark areas that require radiation therapy. However, for many cancer survivors, radiation tattoos serve as unpleasant visual reminders of their negative experiences with cancer. Patients who wish to take advantage of this free service must provide an official letter from their physician or oncologist approving the removal of any radiation tattoos prior to starting treatment. In 2019, I met a woman who nervously walked into my community yoga class, unsure of what to expect. It was her very first yoga class. Week by week, she kept coming back, and soon, we began to build a connection. One day, she shared something that completely changed how I view the impact of teaching… The day before attending that first class, she had been at her lowest. She had planned to check herself into rehab for alcohol addiction, feeling like there was no way forward. But something nudged her to try yoga instead. That one hour on her mat became her turning point. Through yoga, she found clarity, peace, and the strength to choose sobriety. Read more>>

While Bellydancing in restaurants you sometimes get repeating customers. While I was working at Taverna Plaka, a young lady came up to me and told me that she was at the restaurant several years prior and remembered me dancings there…. And then provided the picture to prove it! She was so excited to see me still dancing there and I was excited that she recognized me. We took another picture to commemorate the occasion. Read more>>

What I’m about to share isn’t just a single story- it’s a series of pivotal events that shaped my dental journey. After graduating from dental school in India, I had the privilege of interning with one of the most accomplished dentists in Mumbai. His guidance and encouragement led me to pursue further training abroad, and that’s how I found myself at UCLA. Initially, the plan was to refine my skills there and return to Mumbai to practice under his mentorship. Read more>>
