The moment I discovered I was a Medium, I was taking a shower and I heard a thought in my head. I heard, “ Jessica, tell your mom I love her and I’m sorry I wasn’t there for her.” I immediately, thought how strange it was to be calling out to myself by name and then I knew exactly what had happened. I heard a message for my mother from her cousin. He passed away when I was four. Read more>>

Oh man, so many good ones come to mind. Spending valentines day in the hospital with a baseball player who got his hand sliced open from metal cleats. One of my football players, who, seven years later, still tells me I saved his life. There’s my soccer girls who memorized the whole sideline concussion assessment tool, so I had to get creative and make up my own. The firefighters, who just wanted to hear about the goodness in my life to bring a little sunshine during their hellish days. Read more>>

Part of my work has been facilitating support groups for expectant and new moms in my local community of Greater Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2021 I facilitated one of these groups, and one of the participants was a brand new single mom with a three week old baby. She was lonely, exhausted, in a lot of pain from her C-Section recovery, and planning to return to work in a few short weeks. She needed a village, and she needed it fast. Read more>>

One of my favorite parts of being a dental hygienist is teaching my patients about the mouth body connection. This is being aware that if there are conditions or diseases you have in your body, they will in some ways present in your mouth. That being said, I had a patient I had been treating for a few years, at one of the patients appointments I noticed a lot of bleeding which was abnormal for this patient. Read more>>

I teach wellness and cooking at a drug and alcohol rehab and one day we made Honey-Seared Brussels Sprouts. I noticed a very young man was tearing up a bit after eating them. A female client went to his aid. I later asked the young man if he was OK. His response was, “I’ve never had home cooked food before. I have been on the run my whole life and I have only eaten fast food. I didn’t know what real food tasted like.” Read more>>

Not too long ago, I had a former client reach out to me. I had not heard from her in about year. She had lost her husband to cancer and was struggling with how to go on. Her grief was overwhelming. She texted me that …”Things have been life changing. Honestly the day after our session I decided to open my heart like you advised. I met a widower and we are now married!!! Crazy. I attribute the faith leap to our session.” So often I don’t even know the extent of how my work helps but every once in a while I receive a text like this. Read more>>

Recently my Virtual Brain Health Center celebrated its second anniversary. We had our wellness event of the year packed with top-notch programs and engaging speakers. Fortunately, we had a wonderful response and welcomed students from across the world to our center. I am so humbled to have received many kind notes of appreciation for our collaborations, events, programs, and services over the past two years. One, in particular, came from a student who has regularly engaged with us since our initial launch in 2020. Read more>>

I knew this little girl that was giving up for adoption and a very year age. She was not treated very well by the families children. She was not loved, or made to feel welcomed, at all! She later moved back home with her biological family, and was never made to feel loved, wanted, appreciated, nor excepted! She became of age, got her own place. Started a family of her own. Began to go to church, and gained and relationship with Jesus and the people of the church. She began to read the Bible, that described what God said she was, and not what others may have said, or made her feel, and she gained confidence! Read more>>

When a wise Buddhist Nun calls you from her sickbed and tells you to go to Baltimore, you go to Baltimore! 2018 had been a challenging year, the love of my life died of cancer of the pancreas. I had been laid off and I was struggling. The one thing that helped me was attending Buddhist meditation classes in my home state of Connecticut. The resident teacher,Gen Khyenwang, was a wonderful Buddhist nun. The teachings and meditation helped keep my mind calm as my boyfriend’s health declined. Read more>>
