Today we’re excited to be connecting with Tanya Beyer again. We’re excited to feature one of their products in our gift guide – learn more below and we encourage you to use your gift budget to support small businesses & creatives whenever possible.
Tanya, so thrilled to have you joining us again, this time to talk all about products and so let’s jump right in. Please give our audience some background on the product side.
Mixed media watercolors of North America’s natural heritage in up-close lifelike detail–wild birds, native plants, furry wildlife and other vertebrates set in their home landscapes, in small-format paintings from 8 x 10 to 16 x 20″, framed & matted, single-matted or unmatted, all original paintings by Tanya Beyer.
Who is this product for and who is it probably not a good fit for?
Art for birdwatchers and people who feed birds, native plant gardeners, nature hikers and anyone who treasures the existence of wild creatures and plants that live on alongside the crowded human environment or far out past its margins. For people who wish to bring a scene of nature’s harmony and quiet into their home or work space.
Is there a core message, value or ethos you are trying to communicate through your branding and marketing?
That ‘life’, in the sense that it’s used in political messaging, is not strictly human life and the lives of things we’ve domesticated. That life includes a great range of animals and plants that deserve to flourish on earth alongside us or in places we safeguard for wild communities and can’t tear apart for our own use. That other lives are among the most beautiful and well-integrated with the earth’s natural rhythms.
What are you most thankful for?
Our elders who brought us to see the world beyond human civilization and taught us to protect it. For activists of all sorts and land stewards who still work to save the wild from the mindset of limitless human enterprise, as if the whole world was designed to be harvested, overrun and depleted.
