Patricia, so thrilled to have you joining us again, this time to talk all about products and so let’s jump right in. Please give our audience some background on the product side.
The Me, You and The View Coffee Mug Artwork is based on the New Cover Art for my latest Contemporary Classical Piano Album of the same name.

What’s extra special about this Mug, is that $1 from each Mug sold, goes to two Cancer Research Charities: Cancer Research Society (Canada) and Worldwide Cancer Research (UK /Global)

What’s been the most exciting part of the journey of taking this product from idea to real life?
I am a Coffee lover…so much so, that I named one of my Classical Piano pieces after a delicate little coffee drink called ‘demitasse’!

The Mug idea followed pretty quickly after the song was recorded. I worked with Gelato to create the actual physical product. I provided the artwork and created the Mug design right online. Gelato then prepares the design and merges this to my Shopify Website/Merch Store. They also handle all the shipping, which is wonderful! It’s a seamless process really! For this Coffee Mug, I chose a two-tone colour scheme, accenting the handle, interior, and rim in black–just to make it a little different!

The Mug that is currently available on my Merch site displays the Cover Art for the Album called ‘Me You and The View’. Demitasse, the song that inspired the Mug, is the third release coming January 10.2025. I am releasing this album in ‘waterfall format’. This means the songs are released in succession with a new composition arriving every 6 weeks through to July 2025.

If you had to boil your product or brand down to one core message – what would that message be?
My music is calming, relaxing and peaceful, so my products are meant to reflect this as well. Whether it’s a cozy warm Hoodie to snuggle into, a Greeting Card that provides the simple but gentle message ‘thinking of you’, or a Mug to take in that moment of calm with your favourite beverage. The core message is to provide some serenity.

Do you have any advice for folks who are just starting out?
Stay the course, things don’t happen overnight…generally! Just stick to your brand, and try not to veer off into too many directions. There are so many products out there that you could provide, but in the end, does it make sense for your audience? I’m still learning myself, but what I have come to realize is, it’s probably best not to overextend, and stay true to your mission.
