Today we’re excited to be connecting with Melinda again. We’re excited to feature one of their experience offerings in our gift guide – learn more below and we encourage you to use your gift budget to support small businesses & creatives whenever possible.
Melinda, so thrilled to have you joining us again, this time to talk all about experiences and so let’s jump right in. Please give our audience some background on the experiences you provide for folks?
I am a professional choreographer and educator focusing on contemporary dance! I offer private lessons and choreography staging. This would make a great holiday gift because it includes a personalized session and experience to help others further their dance careers! I have a vast experience as a choreographer and educator and a lot of knowledge I love passing to others.
What’s been the most exciting part of the journey of taking this product from idea to real life?
The most exciting part of the journey as an educator and choreographer is when I get the chance to share new approaches or ideas with dancers and have it be something that clicks so well with them. Something that I love as an educator is learning how everyone processes information differently, and finding a way to communicate something with them in a way that will benefit them and sit the best- it’s such a challenging yet rewarding process!
If you had to boil your experience or brand down to one core message – what would that message be?
Just have fun. I feel we put so much pressure on the final product and forget about living in the moment and just enjoying it. Dance never was supposed to be this stress-inducing thing and more a place for us to have fun, communicate, and deliver messages and stories to others.
Do you have any advice for folks who are just starting out?
There is no better time than now to start something new- even if it feels daunting! Just taking the step into starting is a step in the right direction, and I challenge you to do so!
