Hi Remington, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
NYC Backgammon Club brings together people in their 20s and 30s through weekly events, meetups, and tournaments – providing a fun way to meet, mix, and mingle with fellow backgammon enthusiasts in the heart of New York City.
I started NYC Backgammon Club because when I moved to New York City January of 2023, I was eager to meet new people (both platonically and romantically). Inspired by my love of socializing and playing backgammon, I wanted to create a space that would make it easy for people to get to know one another. Very quickly, it became clear other people we’re also looking to meet new friends. It’s so cool to see how many people NYC Backgammon Club has introduced.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Transitioning from being a salesperson my entire career to being a founder and CEO was a huge challenge. I had no experience with growing a busy from scratch and it’s been the biggest learning experience of my life. I had no social media experience what so ever and now I’ve entirely grown my business on Instagram.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting, our club is the perfect place to sharpen your skills and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow backgammon aficionados.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
From a very young age, my parents told me I would be a salesperson. I was outgoing and extremely social but I could also connect with anyone. I wasn’t a strong student but I knew I had the skills needed to be a salesperson that couldn’t be taught.
