Today we’d like to introduce you to Priyanka Gupta.
Hi Priyanka, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started practicing yoga in 1994 as a way to deal with the stresses of being a teenager. whilst i practiced from a purely physical point of view, things changed tremendously after I did my first vipassana course in 2011. it seemed to be an epiphany moment, as my practice became deepened and became more enriched.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
sure, there are always struggles. i used my yoga and meditation practice to handle these struggles, and had a very strong support group of friends and family.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
yoga with priyanka is all about bringing a sense of mindfulness into life. Bringing yoga off the mat and into our daily lives.
I just completed an 8 week workshop on mindfulness for beginners, and that culminated into an online mindfulness monthly meetup known as the RAIN DROP Sangha (spiritual community). We practice mindfulness using the RAIN technique.
(This was done as my practicum that I needed to submit for the MMTCP program which I am studying on a full scholarship 2025 cohort. Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach run this program)
My dear friend Tracy and I have just launched a 200hr yoga teacher training certification so that we can share these best practices with aspiring teachers.
I have over 100 yoga videos of differing lengths and 108 guided meditations with different themes that I share for free. I started this channel at the beginning of the pandemic as a way for people to navigate the stresses that arose. You can find an index of the guided meditations here:

I am hoping to partner with the First Nations community here in Toronto and guide them through a secular based practice in exchange for learning more about thier culture.
i also offer yoga in the park as a way to build community and get to know neighbors wherever i live. this helps me get to know people and also fosters friendships – so far i have had great success with it wherever we have lived.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Being patient and compassionate are the two characteristics that are essential for me to succeed.
Life is not without frustrations, and the only way I find i can deal with these issues is by being patient and compassionate for myself and others knowing that everything cannot be done on MY timetable since others have things they are dealing with or doing…
