Running a bridal beauty business comes with its fair share of challenges, but I’ve always viewed these as opportunities for growth. I founded TEAM Hair and Makeup Inc. in the late ’90s to fund my education and soon discovered my passion for the beauty industry. Along the way, I faced numerous obstacles, including making costly mistakes that many business owners can relate to. However, these moments proved invaluable, teaching me lessons that have shaped my journey. After 20 years in the business, I live by two core principles: first, I let go of anything or anyone that doesn’t contribute positively to the business; second, I focus on what makes me happy, surrounding myself with trustworthy people and maintaining authenticity. Being receptive to feedback and willing to learn has been crucial in my personal growth and the evolution of my company. This openness to change and continuous learning has kept TEAM Hair and Makeup Inc. relevant and thriving for over two decades.
