Today we’d like to introduce you to Kemisha Levy.
Hi Kemisha , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey began when I started Kybos Baby Clothing at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. With a passion for stylish and high-quality baby clothing, I wanted to create an online boutique that provided parents with adorable, well-made pieces for their little ones. As my brand grew, I saw an opportunity to expand into the subscription box industry, which led to the launch of The Little Bee Box.
The Little Bee Box was created to offer a curated experience for parents, providing them with a selection of coordinated baby clothing that is both stylish and eco-friendly. Over time, I expanded my focus beyond retail, becoming an author and writing books on motherhood, self-growth, and balancing family life.
I started a notary business while continuing to build my brands, and create meaningful content for my community.
Every step of this journey has been about growth, adaptability, and creating solutions that make a difference in people’s lives. And I’m just getting started! 😊
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has been a lesson that helped me grow. When I first started Kybos Baby Clothing during the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a lot of uncertainty—shipping delays, supply chain disruptions, and learning how to market an online business in an unpredictable time. It was a struggle to build brand awareness and gain customer trust in a highly competitive space.
When I launched The Little Bee Box, I faced new challenges, like curating the perfect products for each box, managing inventory, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. Subscription services come with their own set of obstacles, from maintaining subscriber retention to handling logistics and fulfillment.
Beyond the business side, balancing motherhood, entrepreneurship, and personal growth has been another challenge. There were times I felt stretched thin, trying to juggle it all while still staying creative and innovative. Learning to delegate, set boundaries, and prioritize my time has been key to overcoming these struggles.
Despite the ups and downs, I’ve remained committed to my vision. Every challenge has pushed me to find new solutions, adapt, and keep growing. Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing—it’s all part of the journey! 😊
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
About My Business
I’m the founder of Kybos Baby Clothing and The Little Bee Box, two brands dedicated to making life easier and more stylish for parents and their little ones.
Kybos Baby Clothing is an online boutique that offers high-quality, stylish, and comfortable baby clothing. Our pieces are thoughtfully selected to ensure that parents have access to adorable, well-made outfits that are both fashionable and functional.
The Little Bee Box is a baby subscription box designed to bring joy and convenience to parents. Each box includes a curated selection of 5-8 pieces of stylish baby clothing, carefully chosen to coordinate perfectly. We focus on high-quality fabrics, trendy designs, and eco-friendly options that parents love. Whether it’s for a monthly subscription or a one-time purchase, The Little Bee Box makes shopping for baby clothes effortless.
What Sets Us Apart
What makes Kybos Baby Clothing and The Little Bee Box unique is our dedication to quality, style, and convenience. We understand that parents want clothing that is not only cute but also comfortable and durable for their little ones. Our collections are designed to be mix-and-match friendly, so parents can create multiple looks with ease.
For The Little Bee Box, we take the guesswork out of shopping by delivering a beautifully curated selection straight to your doorstep. Unlike other baby subscription boxes, we focus on high-quality baby fashion rather than random baby items, making it a unique and practical experience for parents.
What I’m Most Proud Of
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how The Little Bee Box has grown and been recognized as one of the best kids’ subscription boxes by A Year of Boxes. Seeing parents love our selections and hearing their feedback about how much easier and more enjoyable our service has made their shopping experience is incredibly rewarding.
What I Want Readers to Know
Both Kybos Baby Clothing and The Little Bee Box were created with love and a deep understanding of what parents need. Whether you’re shopping for everyday baby essentials or looking for a fun and stylish subscription experience, we’ve got you covered. We’re always working on new ways to bring more value to parents, from high-quality clothing to exciting new product offerings.
I’m excited about what’s ahead for both brands, and I can’t wait to continue growing and helping parents dress their little ones with ease and confidence! 💛🐝
How do you think about luck?
Luck has played a role in both positive and challenging ways throughout my journey, but I truly believe that success is a mix of preparation, perseverance, and being ready to seize opportunities when they come.
When I started Kybos Baby Clothing during the COVID-19 pandemic, some might say it was bad luck to launch a business during such an uncertain time. Supply chain issues, shipping delays, and the general uncertainty of the economy made things difficult. However, it also turned into good luck because more people were shopping online, and parents were looking for convenient ways to get baby clothes without going to stores. That shift in consumer behavior helped my brand gain traction.
The launch of The Little Bee Box also had its share of ups and downs. There were times when things fell into place effortlessly—finding the right suppliers, receiving positive media recognition, and seeing the business grow. But there were also challenges, like navigating customer expectations, managing inventory, and dealing with unforeseen obstacles that every business owner faces.
Ultimately, I see luck as something that meets you halfway. Yes, there have been moments of good fortune, but they only mattered because I was prepared to act on them. Likewise, when faced with bad luck or setbacks, I learned to pivot, adapt, and keep pushing forward.
So, while luck has played a role in my journey, I’d say hard work, determination, and resilience have played an even bigger one. 😊
