The first five years of my life, I was loved and taught to be positive by my Grandma. She would let me draw on her front porch with crayons. She let me run around in the summer after I was five and had moved to another town. I was allowed to come back in the summer for a few weeks and hang out with her. I have had so many opportunities to work with my favorite band, Muna, their kindness and willingness to let me create with them is so beyond what anyone has ever done for me. Recently I got to photograph all of their performances at SXSW and tag along with them for a few days, I have never felt so appreciated and validated by an artist before so them just loving me the way I love them is more than I could have ever imagined. When I started my apothecary business in 2017 I had about 6 products on my Etsy page. It was very minimal. But it was all me and I was proud just to have had the guts to open an online shop. I received a few sales mainly from friends and family and that was it.
