In March of 2020 there was a moment of widespread panic – it wasn’t just about public health, it was also economic. Would our economy survive a prolonged pandemic? A few years in the answer is clear – it did survive and it was able to because of the spirit and the resolve of our people. Hard working mom and pops working overtime to implement new revenue streams for the businesses, artists and creators finding new ways to collaborate and share their art with their fans and folks from every neighborhood in the country finding ways to adapt and carry on. While the outbreak of Covid stopped business for many Industries, It created a boom for mine. When everything was shutting down I started to come up with innovative ways to perform my job in order to keep my company alive and thriving while everything around me was shutting down. This was a challenge, especially because of food shortage in the beginning while the world was waiting in lines for hours just to get toilet paper. People couldn’t sit down in a restaurant and most didn’t even wanna set foot in public to go to the store, scared they would be exposed. As you know covid was very hard for many business and since my livelihood is parties! My business was completely over!! I have to return money which in my small business is never good!! I had to figure out what to do next. So I started to practice techniques that I’ve alway wanted to learn! So when things began to open up slowly but they did open I began to take orders again and was able to show off some of my cakes!!! Because I am a small business I wasn’t able to get any assistance for my business!! Now that things are opened again I’m doing good!! My cyber security SecNetX company was affected by covid-19 in that many small business were shrinking their budget. A few of my clients temporarily went out of business. The minor league professional basketball team suffered when fans were no longer allowed in gyms, and later less fans were allowed due to spacing which means we sold less tickets.
