We’ve been blown away by the examples of generosity and kindness that are at the heart of so many brands in the community. We asked some of the most giving entrepreneurs and leaders we know to tell us about how they think about the practice of donating a percentage of sales.

I actively support charitable causes through my art and resources. A portion of my proceeds goes to One Heart for Women and Children Charity and Opera Orlando. Additionally, I’ve donated artwork to organizations like the Citrus Club and CityArts Gallery. As an artist, I believe my role extends beyond creation to inspiration and community engagement. I strive to ignite passion and creativity in those I encounter, sharing my time and insights where they align with others’ needs. This commitment to giving back is integral to my artistic philosophy, fostering a cycle of inspiration and support within the community. Read more>>

I collaborate with a few different charities and donate a percentage of sales of specific products to those charities. Especially in today’s political climate, any time you are aligning yourself with a cause, you run the risk of alienating other potential customers. That’s why I decided to go only with causes that truly resonate with me, and I’m OK if that means someone chooses another company because of it. I work outside of my business to run a collection of diaper bags and diaper, so I designed a “mama” bracelet to support the charity, and a portion of the sales are used to buy items to donate to Lotus House Women’s Shelter, one of the largest women’s shelters in the country, located in Miami, FL. Ordered sugar cookies for your business with your logo printed? Stopped by our booth at a local market for a meringue pop? A portion of our sales are donated to help cats in need. With the help of our customers, we have been able to donate to organizations that provide medical care to aging cats so that they may live out their golden years. We’re proud to have also donated much needed supplies to a catch and release organization. These types of organizations capture feral cats, treat them medically, provide spay/neuter services, and release them back into their dwelling. Lovely Luna’s Bakeshop, LLC aims to aid stray and senior cats because of our namesake; Luna. Luna was a senior cat that I adopted back in 2016. Luna’s story was not an uncommon one. Although Luna was a stray cat that had been abandoned without her front claws, she was well mannered and full of love. She sadly passed onto kitty heaven in 2018, but had such a big impact that I decided to name my bakeshop in her memory. Read more>>

I visited my parent’s home country of Fiji in 2015, and when I saw how the people lived and the resources they had and yet they were still so happy, humble and helpful, I promised myself back then, I would figure out a way to create new opportunities for my people in my community. Fast forward to 2024, I decided the time was right and I had enough knowledge acquired throughout my career at that point to launch a non profit that focused on educational access in Fiji, naturally, I called this endeavor, The Fiji Promise. My experience in playing sports, particularly track and field, which I competed in during my time in high school and college and now have been coaching for the last ten years, also ignited a passion in the wellness industry. Due to this, I have franchised a 1-on-1 assisted stretch studio called StretchMed. Helping people move better, with less pain and increased mobility definitely is another way I can help others.
